This is second time I have visited this place with a bad experience! The first time I ordered my food, I was not told to scan the QR code at table. But at this time of the day it was only me and 2-3 other parties. Meaning the place was not crowded at at. A sever walked right pass me and ask everyone in the place if this was the food they ordered, they all said no. He then walked all the way outside with my food asking others the same. He came back in. Finally notice me then asked did I order the salad. Before I could even reply he walked off and put my food down. I sat there and thought someone would bring my food but it sat there on the counter for a minute or two. So I then had to complain and speak to the manager who was very helpful. The white younger lady with curly hair . She was great!!! I then visited again AND HAD ANOTHER BAD EXPERIENCE. the black girl HEAVEN was taken every othER PERSON there food. Then she start cleaning tables. She also have a nasty attitude. My food sat on the counter for 10min before I got it. I EVENTUALLY GOT MY OWN FOOD. Each time I been to the place I have never got my food brought to my table! Most of the black ppl are all rude (HEAVEN)no manners and not friendly at all. Fire them now! U dnt like your job then quite. The manger with the curly hair is awesome.HEAVEN walked pass my empty bowel on my table many times. Never picked it up. ! The manager with curly hair eventually picked up my bowl and spoke as always. I only come back for her. Everybody else “THE GHETTO”! If y’all want to have business y’all should fire HEAVEN. Or let her be uncharge of cleaning tables only. Go be happy, learn respect and manners. Ughhh you the reason why we are...
Read moreI used to love this place! I’ve loved it since they first moved from California! I loved the downtown location first then I started trying this shepherd location, but I always seem disappointed and dissatisfied when I leave the shepherd location. My food always takes 15-20 minutes to make and something is always wrong with it. I’ve let it slide a couple of times but this experience today has made me realize I’m going to start branching out to other sandwich shops because this isn’t even worth spending the $14.00 a sandwich anymore. My sandwich was cold and stale and then when I took out a cheese to substitute for another cheese I got charged additional. The sandwiches are sloppy made it seems like they just did them in a hurry but left them sitting on the counter for plenty of time when it gets to us it’s all stale and cold. If I wanted a cold over priced sandwich i would just go to the airport deli and buy one there. Highly disappointed with this location. I am going to have to not recommend this place to my peers anymore. The fact that this is a different location and service sucks, hospitality doesn’t care there’s no empathy. The manager seems like she has no idea what she’s doing because the fact that people have to wait so long when it’s not even busy in the restaurant is unacceptable. If it’s gonna take more than 15 minutes for a sandwich you’re better off going to subway. Do not come here if you’re wanting to venture out and try new things. This place has gone down hill and serving happy doesn’t exist here. Do...
Read moreTo be honest we had a coupon so we thought why not give it a try. Not all sandwich places are great. But Mendocino Farms far exceeded my expectations! I was blown away at the freshness, quality, and taste of everything we ordered. We went back the second day in a row. I tried two things that are only on the menu for a limited time. The Sweet Heat Crispy Thai Chicken Sandwich and the Samosa Dosa wrap. Both had incredibly balanced flavors of spice, curries, and fresh ingredients. They air fry their chicken so it doesn't taste too heavy or oily. The tenders are lightly battered so you're getting 95% meat. The bun and the tortilla were fresh and soft. We tried their spicy Dijon potato salad (I wouldn't call it spicy) but it has a wonderful flare to an old staple. We also tried the Spicy Curried Couscous. I've had couscous and this is no normal couscous. It has the buttery and almost jelly-like consistency of tapioca but with a savory flavor. I literally ordered it twice it's that good! We also tried the creamy potato leak soup and the French lentil & Kale soup. Both were delicious, like eat hot soup in the summer because it's so good delicious. They have a wine and beer option, but we were there for lunch. However, don't skip their infused lemonades. They have a tumeric, a rose, and a greens lemonade. Each is uniquely different and tasty. I'm dead serious when I say I'm looking forward to going back. Louis, the manager, and his staff are very helpful and make sure they do everything they can to ensure you...
