My overall experience at Milton’s wasn’t bad, but it was not all that great either. When we first walked in, the host stand was empty and my friend and I waited a little bit before we decided just to walk up the stairs. That’s when we realized the hostess was right there. A little bit confusing if you go for your first time. We were seated and our amazing waiter started right away with our drink order and gave us some time to look at the menu.
FOOD: At first we ordered the tuna tartare, the heart of palm salad, the bolognese, the linguini pasta, and the hanger steak. Unfortunately they ran out of the clam linguini pasta so we ordered the lobster and scallop ravioli. The tuna tartare was amazing. It was fresh and had a good flavor of pepper and capers. The heart of palm salad was good but to me lacked a little substance. Really it was a few pieces of shaved hearts of palm and a lot of pistachios. The pastas arrived next. The bolognese was very solid. Not overpowering in the salt department but still had plenty of flavor. The lobster ravioli was Interesting. I am a huge seafood person, especially when it comes to lobster, however this was a miss for me. You certainly taste the lobster, but thats really all you taste. It fell a little flat to me, because I was expecting a bit more flavor that would enhance the lobster’s natural flavor and sweetness. However, all you get is a strong seafood taste which isn’t bad, but just one noted. The hanger steak was cooke to perfection. We asked for medium rare and it was certainly medium rare. The steak is a solid choice, however the only thing that was Intresting about it was it’s served with anchovies. Not bad but just interesting.
SERVICE: In regards to service, our waiter was amazing. He was able to accommodate my friends food allergy and even brought over a non alcoholic aperitif because they do not drink. The only issue that came about was he accidentally sent our left overs to another table that had left. While we didn’t have a whole lot left over, we where still pretty bummed we couldn’t enjoy our leftover pasta. He apologized for the mistake, but I felt like we should have gotten some sort of discount or something to make up...
Read moreLast night, my friends and I had the pleasure of dining at Milton's, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and our host, Peter, went above and beyond to accommodate our last-minute addition of two extra guests. The atmosphere at Milton's is a delightful blend of romantic, family-friendly, and upscale, making it the perfect setting for any occasion. Chef Seth Siegel-Gardner has curated a menu that elevates traditional Italian cuisine while staying true to its soul. We sampled a variety of dishes, each more impressive than the last. The Fritto Misto was a delightful starter, perfectly fried vegetables and seafood accompanied by two delicious dipping sauces the way you’d have fried calamari somewhere but this is much better. The Arancini, Chargrilled Oysters, and Endive salad were equally remarkable, showcasing the kitchen's attention to detail and fresh ingredients. The pasta dishes were the stars. We ordered the Lobster Raviolo and the Chicken Parm the chicken parm was classic and cooked to perfection, and it may have you questioning if you’ve ever even had good chicken parm before... The Linguine alle Vongole, though a tad over-salted, was still incredibly flavorful and satisfying. Milton's boasts a phenomenal cocktail menu that perfectly complements the food. I highly recommend the Rubycello and the Cafe Noncoretto. Mate Hartai not only created a fantastic "elevated Old Fashioned" but also added a fun, interactive element with a dice game. Thank you Gia for executing these so well! To finish our meal, we had the Olive Oil cake, which rivaled our favorite from Nobie's. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible dining experience. Overall, Milton's exceeded our expectations in every way. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. We will definitely be back, most likely weekly! Thank you Rene and Jerrett for taking care of us. The service...
Read moreHad a wonderful date night here and I can confidently say that this place gives such an elevated dining experience, yet small, cozy, and intimate. This almost brings back dapper style vibes mixed with Tiffany lamp fixtures. As if you're in the 1920-40s era.
Arancini top tier, crunchy outside, just melt in your mouth sottocenere cheese, makes you want to order plate to go 10/10
Chargrilled oysters if I could explain the flavor bombs in this little cusp of an oyster, it would feel like an abomination. Drinking the little vessel of an oyster shell full of melted Calabrian butter, fried garlic, melted and crispy Parmesan with that salted taste, and of course pancetta. Chef's kiss. Mmmmppff
Lobster and Scallops Ravioli wowowowowow who knew such ravioli would be such a treat. When you're so used to a slippery ravioli that can't even stay on your fork, or when it breaks, it just doesn't tastes as good. No, not Milton's. Milton's does it right. The Lobster and Scallops Ravioli has BITE and has so much flavor, I kept coming back for more. Yes, please. The sauce was so thick and seafood flavored, I couldn't believe this was housing ravioli. Best first choice.
Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti my boyfriend rave about how much he LOVED this meal. He makes this meal very rarely just because it is so time consuming. And every chance he gets, he always orders it. And when I tell you, he made it to the CLEAN PLATE CLUB. If that doesn't tell you anything, then I don't know what does.
Old Fashion my boyfriend ordered this and it had notes of vanilla. We've never had this before and it was quite possibly one of the BEST old fashion drinks we've ever had. You best believe we will be ordering this again.
Lastly, the service was fantastic. Just top notch.
Let me tell you. We will make more excuses for more date nights at Milton's....
