(WRITING THIS WHILE IM IN URGENT CARE WITH MY KID WHO IS HAVING HEART BURN AND STOMACH ACHE)
I drove about an hour, back and forth, to get the momos because my wife was craving momos, i had high hopes that my family would enjoy, but our experience was nothing short of a HORROR. Irrespective of different spice level including a kids meal everything was horrendously spicy. The spice level of their momos was ridiculously inconsistent were so spicy that they were inedible. It also gave my kid stomach ache after a single bite. To make matters worse, when I spoke to the young lady who took my order she said its not possible. At first she said there is Black Pepper and some momo masala used in the kids momo. (But why will any restaurant put black pepper and masala in kids food, and not mention it if they use it.). Next when we spoke to the manager (MAYBE it was edda or aeda )about the issue, she was incredibly RUDE and DISMISSIVE and DEFENSIVE and LOUD and DISRESPECTFUL. Instead of addressing my concerns and being empathetic, she shrugged it off by SCHOOLING us regarding our descend and how UNEDUCATED we are about FOOD and spice. Well she didnt know she was talking to a chef of an indian descent, who has worked in multiple countries with people of varied palates. Further more she told us we ordered what we recieved and when I tried to tell her my correct order she said that the person taking the order would have miss heard it.( mind you the restaurant was empty), still no apology and continued Rudeness and with her Dismissive tone she kept on saying it's our mistake that we didn't know what we are ordering. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won’t be returning and recommending to anyone.
PS: be careful of what you order.
To owners reply: Since I can't reply the owners comment.
My wife did say "Stupid" but didn't Abuse a word. She was very upset and concerned about the child's stomach pain and being schooled by your staff about our race and inefficiency in understanding our ability to understand what we have ordered. I DID APOLOGISE FOR THE SAME TO THE LADY MULTIPLE TIMES.
Secondly : Yes, I did call her back , as you correctly mentioned, my exact words were: I WANT TO CHANGE THE ORDER TO KIDS MOMO BECAUSE BECAUSE MY KID WOULD BE EATING IT. The kids menu in whole of houston, they serve food with no spice to kids. If at all there is something which is spicy the staff is very courteous enough to let customer know in advance.
My main purpose of calling was to give constructive feedback. But after getting a rude reply and non accepting attitude, made us upset and escalated the situation.
FYI: SIR/MADAM, THERE ARE 3 VERSIONS REGARDING PREPARATION OF THE SAME FOOD THAT I GOT TO KNOW THIS EVENING. THERE IS NO SPICE. THERE IS ONLY MOMO MASALA AND BLACK PEPPER THE MOMO MIX SPICE LEVEL IS THE SAME FPR EVERYONE, AS...
Read moreDrove 2 and half hours for momos and their website showed they close at 10 but when we got here at 9:44 she said sorry we are closed. Asked what time they closed she said 9:40. I said its only 4 mins passed the time and if i knew you closed at 9:40 and not at 10 then i would came a little earlier. Explained i drove 2and a half hours but very disappointing that they care nothing about customer service. She rudely said if u want a togo i can only do steamed momos and nothing else. I explicitly asked if she can atleast try fried and she answered NO! Asked for manager said she wasnt available. I had to ask employee simone for her name. And then simone said geeta is the name you can come back tomorrow. Even though i explained i dont live here. They were bringing peoples order out hot so pretty sure the kitchen did not close. Unbelievable and unacceptable customer service by these people. I have to drive back home another 3 hours ! Spent only $20 and all that gas for no reason even though we came to have a family dinner. If you close at 9:40 change the time online so people know kitchen closes...

Momo House is hands-down one of the best spots in town if you’re craving authentic Nepali flavors. Every visit has been a five-star experience—fresh food, friendly service, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
The momos are the star of the show—perfectly steamed or fried, with tender fillings and that signature dipping sauce that brings it all together. You can tell everything is made with care and tradition. I also tried the chow mein and chili chicken, and both were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.
Service is always warm and attentive without being overbearing. The staff genuinely cares that you’re enjoying your meal. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the quality is consistent every time.
Whether you’re new to Nepali cuisine or already a fan, Momo House is a must-visit. Five stars, no question. I’ll definitely be...
