Dr. Fan Wang, MD,Ph,D — Local services in Houston

I normally don’t complain nor do I leave reviews but this is something that I need other to be aware of and to also have the office realize that either them or their lab did have a mess up. On July 31st I went in for an ultrasound and was told, “you have Gonorrhea” first of all very confused because me and my husband haven’t been with anyone else and so I’m thinking that he’s lying about things so first did this not only cause problems in my relationship but also put my baby at risk. Dr.Wang informed Me that he doesn’t give treatment for the disease and for us to go to the ER. Didn’t want to do that because of covid risks so we call dozens of offices all over Houston and even drive an hour to some until we finally found one that would allow us to come in ASAP and get treatment for both us at no cost. We went to the AHF where all they do is std testing and treatment. Got tested again and treatment the same day. Only reason we got treatment the same day was because I was informed that I was positive for Gonorrhea and needed treatment ASAP due to being pregnant, that is the only reason that I was able to get the treatment the day I went in because I had a note from Dr.Wang stating that I was pregnant and positive for Gonorrhea and needed treatment. Before given the treatment I was informed by the nurse practitioner at the office that there are risk with birth defects when taking the treatment but that I need to have it to assure my baby doesn’t get it. But then I get my results back from AHF and came up negative for EVERYTHING me and my husband both. So because I was told that I was positive I had to go get a treatment that put my baby at risk for something that I didn’t even have. And when I called to tell the office what happened they wanted to say that where I went probably didn’t have an accurate result, but I find it impossible that they would have inaccurate results of an std when all they FOCUS on is stds as opposed to an office who has me go across the hall to pee into a little plastic cup with no lid that they wrote my name on with sharpie and then place it next to a sink next to 7+ other cups with pee. So I am still waiting for an explanation because my next step is to SUE with or without an explanation. And attached are the results from the AHF showing that I did come up negative before anyone wants to argue on wether I went somewhere...

This disgusting place shouldn't be allowed to stay open. I'm steaming right now because I'm being refused my test results unless I pay another copay to get them. I've never in my life had to pay for MY test results. The doctor either made them available online or called with any concerns they had and then WE decided if I needed a follow-up appointment. Clearly Dr. Wang wants to suck out as much money as possible from his patients and that's just sad. Unfortunately for y'all, but fortunately for this disgusting office, my phone died during the long (4 HOUR) wait during my initial visit so I wasn't able to take pictures of the boxes stacked up in the room they take your vitals in, the dirt and dust caked up on the equipment, the cracks in the walls and floor tiles, the out of service restroom, the open cups (actual freaking Dixie cups) of piss lined up on the sink... Oh, let me not overlook that humiliating detail... So I had to give a urine sample and to do that I had to leave the office, walk around to the women's restroom (that has two toilets but no dividers), piss in an 8oz dixie cup without a lid, carry my open pee back to the office, past the elevators and at that time 3 grown men, back thru the waiting room, and sit it next to the other cups of open piss that couldn't be cross contaminated at all. It seems like this place caters to Medicaid/Medicare recipients and ladies, let me tell you this, those services pay for a Hell of a lot better places than this dump. I came here because I was in a hurry and wanted an exam before I left the state for a few weeks (last minute work trip). They take your money BEFORE providing a service which I've also never experienced at any other doctor's. The norm is to pay afterwards when you are leaving. That's how I got trapped into waiting 4 hours to see the "doctor" but yeah, RUN, don't walk away from this place unless you just like wasting your time and having your...

WORST doctor ever. Got there for my 4:30pm appointment and didn’t leave till 7pm. I understand he’s the only doctor and surgeries and unexpected deliveries happen but when I signed in he had just gotten back from one and no one bothered to inform anyone waiting, which was around 15 people. The place they do your “vitals” (all they do is weigh you, take you blood pressure and ask you questions) had medical files stored in boxes in the room, and had ants all over the room. They then give you a cup to pee in, not the normal doctors office cups no like a Dixie cup that you have to take out of the office, down the hall and around the corner to fill up and bring back. Then when I went in for my ultrasound the doctor and nurse both stayed in there and gave my husband a tiny sheet to hold up while I change. While they were STILL in there. Then had a nurse walk in on me changing back into my clothes cause she failed to knock on a closed door. Didn’t even bother to introduce himself, could only focus on my thyroid issues, and rushed the entire ultrasound. Barely got to here the babies heartbeat, didn’t even tell me babies due date and gave us one single picture printed out that they then taped to a piece of paper and told me I had to come back another day to do my blood work.
