This is my second time at this place and it was amazing!!!! I had the Fried Shrimp, Bang Bang and Fried Fish taco, Large Guacamole, Shrimp Cheese Dip, Corn on the Cob, a Rum Runner and a Lavender something margarita!!!! HOWEVER!!!!! After the amazing Corn and guacamole starters....my girlfriend had just finished eating her fried fish taco which she LOVED!!!! As she took her last bite she noticed something her gums and gums. We thought it was a bone as that sometimes happens when eating fish. When she took it out with a napkin we were expecting a bone but it was a small piece of metal. It was like a section of a soda can tab. We placed it on the table on the same napkin to let the food runner/server know when he brought out our shrimp cheese dip. We mentioned to the person who brought out the cheese shrimp dip and he took it inside. I was hoping a supervisor or manager would come out to check on us after finding this piece of metal. We saw the manager in a light blue shirt walking around but he never came to check on us. When I went inside to close out my tab, I asked the front counter person why a manager didn't come out to check on us after finding a piece of metal. The front counter person said the food runner told him about the metal but he didn't tell the manager so he wouldn't get mad....I was disappointed and told him it was important he communicate this to a manager to avoid injury to a guest. He said he told the kitchen manager too and they will be more careful from now on. I love this place but I doubt my gf of over 15 years will ever want to come back. I know it's not the front counter person's fault but i believe he did not want to communicate our food issu with metal...he did not offer to comp the taco due to the fact the chose not to tell his manager. I am not a person who makes a scene but i wish more would have been done to reassure our continued patronage. I will...
Read moreMy motto (quality over quantity applies here). My favorite breakfast taco is the chorizo egg w/ cheese taco ( maverick). They use Very high quality ingredients and I like how they fold the ends to keep everything from falling out, it’s like a mini Burrito . Fyi a Burro is Spanish for donkey and a Burrito means small donkey . I was told the Burrito was named this since it was common to use a Burro as a pack animal which could haul very large loads for its size , so basically an overstuffed taco with multiple ingredients, (Joke warning!) Don’t ask for a small donkey ok 😆 The burrito tortilla is quite different than a usual tortilla at pacific ,and it’s quite nice with great mouth appeal and is not your average typical flat bread, I like to look at it as a Mexican style crepe. Every region in Mexico has its own tortilla style. . With a Draft Pacifico beer it’s definitely a warm cozy feeling for the soul (weekend breakfast) Skip the line to order and go directly to bar and order a drink then food, I highly suggest the margarita and for a boozy margarita I like to order a top shelf tequila in a short glass or even Mezcal. The management and staff are very outgoing and friendly and the atmosphere is great here and Dog friendly. Parking can be chaotic at times and side street parking is available. one other menu item I like is the twice fried French fries with pulled pork and cheese, ask them for chorizo gravy and a Pacifico (draft) let me know how you like my...
Read moreGreat menu and great location. Wait staff are a bit rude and the prices are insane for the portion size. $15.99 for a tiny little poke bowl with no rice. One root beer and Hawaiian poke bowl was $20. I ate it in less than 45 seconds.
I walked in, the staff didn't help me understand their layout or ask if I had any questions about their menu. They just wanted to take my order even though there was literally no one in front or behind me. 12:30pm on a Friday. I ordered, the girl gave me a number and said they'll bring the food to me. I walked around looking for an empty table, there were plenty of empty tables but all of them were dirty or had plates on them. The only empty seats that were clean were at the bar. I didn't want to sit at the bar but that was my only option. After I sat at the bar, bartender gives me dirty look and the girl that took my order and says, "maybe we should move the sign that says full service at the bar" so they moved it to a location more visible to me.
If I've never been to your restaurant, I don't know anything. Don't act like I'm the one making the mistake if you can't take the time to be hospitable.
12 years in the restaurant and bar industry myself. I was a server, bartender, food runner, and back of house positions as well.
Places like this that ask for a tip before providing service are TRASH.
