This place has become a great place for me to unwind and slow my mind. It is on the 3 mile running trail so it can get crowded on the weekends but still good place. Many small little features that are great. The parking lot is 2 bucks for 3 hours. Super cheap and I'm sure the money helps maintain the park so totally worth it. Favorite time for me is during the week during the day. Its pretty empty and quiet. Enjoy walking barefoot on the grass in the middle. Only place I feel comfortable doing that. If you walk the two land bridges you can add another 20-30 minutes...

There are 2 paths around Hines lake, one close to the water and another deeper into the trees that leads back to the lake’s edge. Both are a must any time of the day. The sunset is beyond amazing and the plants around the lake change with the seasons. The shaded pavilions with fire pits are a great place to rest or make s’mores. There’s also a large green area for picnics or playing frisbee, soccer, or spike ball. The vibe is amazing, it’s refreshing to see active...

What I enjoy the most about it is that there is something to do for people from all age groups, and that is awesome that this park has that vibe. The chalk wall is definitely a nice touch to leave a cute message etc. One thing I wish I would’ve known before coming is that parking is not free, but that is to be expected since it is in Houston. Although parking is not free, it is definitely reasonable and worth the ambiance. Anyone should give it a try if they’re...
