– Sunday, March 30th

This was my daughter’s and my first time visiting Rush Bowls, and we were genuinely excited to try the smoothie bowls we’ve heard so much about. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations in several ways.

We both ordered the Beach Bowls, and they came out extremely watery—not the thick, refreshing consistency we were hoping for. The granola used tasted exactly like the Nature’s Path Pumpkin Seed + Flax granola that I often buy at the store, which gave the bowl more of a store-bought feel than a fresh, handcrafted one. I was really hoping for something more homemade and unique.

Customer service also left a lot to be desired. When we walked in, we weren’t acknowledged at all. The employee at the front seemed much more engaged in a casual conversation with a coworker than in helping customers. I’m very understanding, especially with young adults—I’m a mom myself, and I know everyone is still learning—but it felt disrespectful to be completely ignored and treated as an afterthought.

The bowls were made so quickly and with such little care that it was obvious. My daughter and I both agreed that the flavor and experience just weren’t enjoyable. We really wanted to like this place and were hoping for a warm, welcoming environment with bowls made with love and attention to detail, but sadly, that wasn’t our experience.

We hope Rush Bowls takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both their customer service and the quality of their product. First impressions matter—and this one was...

Let me start off my saying the Beach Bowl was great!! This was my first time here. Not sure if I will be returning due to the extremely unwelcoming attendant who serviced us. I understand the frustration of working on New Years day. However, that doesn't excuse the gross attitude I experienced. The lady working definitely did not hide that she didn't want to make our bowls. On Mondays you are eligible for a free bowl for your pup, we originally ordered it when we arrived. We noticed we hadn't gotten it yet, my boyfriend asked her if we still can get it. Rudely, she told us it's coming....never did. We just decided to leave. Was afraid she might spit in our food at that point. I have worked shifts that suck where I didn't feel like being there, but never did I greet people the way that woman did. If the owner is reading, just look who was scheduled Monday night 1/1/24. Highly recommend customer service...

Wednesday the 27th at 3:40 PM I was craving Rush bowl they have the best fruit bowls I have ever tasted!! This was my third time visiting this exact location. My first time in, the employee was very rude. I let it slide because I know it’s very frustrating dealing with first time clients the second time the worker was amazing. I wish I got her name because she needs brownie points in fact, left her a tip, this is my third time and once again, there was a rude employee. I don’t know if they’re under paid or what but it would be nice to actually be greeted with a smile helped if you need helped, or informed if you need to be informed with something. But the bowls are amazing a 10/10! Power bowl is...

my fav spot for acai bowls! it's a small cozy place right off washington. it gives off smoothie king vibes with lots of stuff to choose from. i havent tried their smoothies or other things but every time i am craving something refreshing i come here and my appetite is instantly satisfied! especially in this houston heat passing 100F i must keep my body cold. there are couple of tables you can sit inside. i prefer eating in the car because it's more comfortable. anyways i recommend this spot if you want fast refreshing smoothies or acai bowls. lots of ingredients you can add!

The BEST açaí bowl in Houston. And they have so many nut free options which I can never find. I’m deathly allergic so this accommodation means everything to me. Love their ingredients and the staff. Update: went back today for my order and took a bite and there were nuts when I explicitly didn’t ask for nuts. Listed I had a peanut and tree nut allergy as well. Wouldn’t update a review normally but just in case anyone goes who has an allergy as severe as mine- you may want to triple check each time.

Just picked up two bowls. Parking lot is small - it was full when I got there so had to park on a side street and run in to pick up my online order. Turns out my peanut butter and jelly bowl was missing the jelly (see picture) - I didn't notice that until I got home (and I don't live close by). Also the bowls don't look like the pictures on the website - my PB & J bowl was barely pink while the pic on the website is a deep pink / red I guess owing to the strawberry in the base
