There were no ppl dining in at this time, only 3 customers on the line to place to go orders, I was second in the line, the first person placed his order that included a cappuccino, both cashiers were fixing his cappuccino while the other customer and I were waiting In the line, they took forever and never acknowledged us or said “we’ll be right with you” they just ignored us, our presence was oblivious to them.
The wait wasn’t worth it, my chicha was watery and warm, chicha is supposed to be thick and cold, also pricey for the quality, it tasted like powdered chicha from a package, I also ordered tequeños, arepas and empanadas and when I got home I found out that the tequeños were raw with a lot of flour around them(they forgot to deep fry them), empanadas were under cooked, very pale, they should be golden crispy.
This was my second time in this place, the first time (about 5 months ago) my order also had some issues and I started a nice conversation with one of the waitresses who was very sweet, she stated that managers keep the tips when they’re given in CC or Debit C, si it’s better to tip them in cash to make sure that The waitstaff gets the money. Today I gave it a second chance but there won’t be a third chance, I’m pretty much done with this beautiful cozy restaurant with nice art on the walls but customers won’t eat those colorful paintings, we go there for the food and for a good service, everything is highly price for the bad quality they’re giving us in return and no wonder the front staff and waitstaff are ignoring customers if they don’t get their tips by the management, just greedy!
I won’t come back and neither recommend this place to anybody!!!!! Just...
Read moreThis place deserves 0 stars but that is not possible which is why I am giving it 1 star. My party of 8 was treated very badly by the staff and the owner. We ordered plantain pastelitos as starters. The waitress came back 30 minutes later to tell us the pastelitos were not even prepared and we would need to wait another 30 minutes. They arrived after our meal was done so we took them to go. The waitress should have know the pastelitos were not available when we ordered them and informed us so we could pick another appetizer.
Next, it took over an hour to get our entrees and when they arrived plates were missing and several orders were wrong. The reason the staff gave was that their kitchen is not capable of preparing 8 meals at the same time. Interesting excuse for a restaurant of this size….
Finally, we paid and left the restaurant. My party was chatting outside and the owner approached us. He complained that we were rude to the waitresses and that we should not have done that. We were shocked because we expected an apology after all the mistakes and bad service we received. The owner claimed that “the customer is not always right”. This goes against the basic standards of the service industry.
Needless to say, nobody in my group will be returning to this restaurant after being treated and scolded like children. I have never had something like this happen to me and I believe this was unacceptable and the staff and the owner needs to be trained on the basics of customer service.
If you value your time and money, do not spend it at...
Read morePoor service. I didn't receive part of my order. Waited long time and decided to ask about it. They said it was overlooked and would work on it. Came back with only part if it. Ordered 2 empanadas and 2 pastelitos. They only gave me 1 empanada. Waitress who took the order came back to go over the ticket. She tried to make it seem as if we put in multiple orders. Didn't apologize which would have made everything better. People make mistakes. Rather she was rude and condescending. She pointed out to the fact I already had an empanada that I was eating. I explained I had received it only after I waited long time and followed up on my order. I pointed out to the fact I hadn't received the rest of the order. Again no apology. She left the ticket on the table for us to pay and walked away. Will not be coming back. The owner was there and didn't come to our table to apologize either. He stayed in the kitchen. We recognized him because the last time we came he followed us to the parking lot just to ask us how we had liked the food. The whole experience left us with a sour taste in our mouths. I hate the fact we went there for Father's day and had to start our day like that. The other waitress told us she wouldn't charge us the pastelitos and we took them to go. She didn't apologize either but she was only decent one there that at least tried. The restaurant was also not busy so they can't use that...
