Smashburger — Restaurant in Houston

The cashier Kevon was the absolute worst! I will NEVER come back to this location. He was sitting down upon me entering and made an exasperated sigh when he did decide to get up. He didn't greet me upon my approaching the register and just stared at me awkwardly. But, I still chose to be polite. He stood away from the cash register as I ordered with his hands on top of the countertop behind him. He looked like I was bothering him to even be there. Then, he was using obscenities and arguing with the female manager. I thought he was just rude and did this with every customer. But, I was utterly shocked to find out that was an incorrect assumption. He was soooo friendly to the white male customer that came in after me. I mean, greeted him and made recommendations it was a total 360 in the customer service I received. My recommendation to Smash Burger is if Kevon can't provide consistent and extraordinary customer service to everyone. Then maybe he shouldn't work there. I'm sure there are plenty of willing individuals who would appreciate this position during inflation. FYI, this was my first time ever stepping foot in Smash Burger, and the food was delicious. But, I will sacrifice good food for customer service and go to Five...

The food was great that is not my complaint here. My complaint is the customer service and attitude I got from one of their employees I ordered online and got a message that my food was ready. I go inside at around 2:33 pm 9/22/24 and see that there is absolutely nobody in the front and I proceeded to go to the area where I see a sign that says “prepaid online pick up here” and grab my food, thank the cook, and head out when a woman comes out as I am about to leave yelling “is that your food?” I say yes? Why? And she proceeds to raise her voice at me about how I wasn’t supposed to just grab my food or be there and I tell here about the sign over her head that says online orders here and how there was no one upfront to help or greet me anyways. and of course it is my food it had my name on it? I was really taken aback by her unprofessionalism and lack of customer service she was probably supposed to be out front in the first place to have greeted me and wasn’t. She may have been having a bad day but was definitely not my fault, may God work in her and this place’s employees I left this place in a really bad mood which no paying customer deserves on a...

The burgers here are absolutely delicious here. Onion ring fabulous. But the older lady talking the order (apparently the manager) is very rude. Not only to us customers but even worse to her employees! Especially the nice girl that was a new hire. I ordered a classic double smash burger with only mayo. She said it only came a certain way When I asked if she could just substitute what I ordered for the way it "supposed" to come, she acted like it was a bother but with literally two taps on her screen she changed it! What!?! But then I got my order it was a single patty and had lettuce, pickles, onions and tomatoes!! I called the young nice employee over and told her it was supposed to be a double and only mayo. She apologized and took it back to get what I asked for. Unfortunately when she got back although it did have both the double patties and the mayo I asked for but it also came back with the rest of the vegetables i didn't want. To save the poor girl another round of explaining this to that lady, I just picked off what I didn't want. Geeze. I will go back to smashburger but just not...
