Hummus Republic — Restaurant in Houston

I’ve been here two days in a roll. Last night’s experience was pretty good. Service rep has patience to explain and introduce me to all items. I got the recommended bowl and selected Lemon chicken which tasted good and mushroom was just okay.

Decided to come back for lunch today since it was healthy choice but due to special 50% discount, it was packed versus last nights empty restaurant. I ordered 2 pitas to go. The nice older gentleman assisted me and I wished I had another person. I told him what I wanted 2 pitas and sweet potato fries right off so I didn’t have to wait knowing it takes a while to fry it. I thought it was weird of him flipping my pitas back and forth quickly like it was on fire vs letting it rest and warm up. I felt short changed on amount of lemon chicken today. I ended up waiting for my fries, he forgot to add my sides of hummus and tzatziki sauce in separate containers even though I reminded him twice. He asked if I wanted a bag…. To carry two boxes and fries. He didn’t distinguish or mark my pitas so I had to unwrap it to figure it out. It’s little things. I paid close to $20 for my bowl yesterday because I included tip. More disturbing is the pita rang $14 versus $12 displayed on the menu. You can do the math to add up. I don’t have a copy of my receipt that I opted to print out because he threw it away instead of giving it to me. Not sure I’ll be back because it wasn’t exceptional food to start with for the price point and the service based off...

Responding to owner response .....Thank you for your quick response. Your food was lukewarm, the sweet potatoes Fries were cold and the gyro meat was lukewarm.........I was respectful to your employee, because I only engaged with one and I generously tipped her for my food that was lukewarm and the gentleman's food that was in front of me because he didn't want to tip your employee. I apologize that you feel that way. I nor you won't lose any sleep by me no longer dining at your restaurant. lol . You replied saying my attitude was lukewarm?, and i need to take a look in the mirror? lol. Your Camera system supposedly caught my rude attitude, but it didn't catch the generous tip I gave your employee, nor the lukewarm food. Maybe, you should upgrade your camera system. .. someone is definitely in there feelings. I posted my review about my experience. And that's my experience, nothing added, nothing taking away. The food was lukewarm. I had to ask the server for fresh food . There are better mediterranean restaurants in the area that have a higher level of quality when it comes to food. For example FADIS.. I will never recommend this...
