Sams Deli Diner is a Spring Branch staple establishment. I love Sams deli diner! They make the absolute best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had. They are nothing fancy, no frills, just very very good. We love the cheeseburgers, kids burgers, seasoned fry baskets, chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwiches, and the grilled cheese sandwiches!!! They also have great breakfast too! I have been going to Sams Deli my entire life (starting at the old location before the Katy Freeway renovation) and now I am lucky enough to be able to bring my son there as well. Where else can you get a milkshake made with blue Bell ice cream?! The staff is the best, very friendly and personable people who know the names of the regulars, and take care of everyone like family. I’ve been going to Sams Deli for 30 years and hope to continue to go for another 30 more. If you go during busy times, there will be a bit of a wait, but you can’t rush perfection! Call ahead orders are good for lunchtime if you’re in a rush, but if you have time, place your order, get your drink, and sit down and watch the masters at work. 🥰 1000 out of 10, would...
Read moreI have gone to this restaurant for years and to see them pretty much in their demise is sad. For starters, I don't understand why they don't call themselves Sam's Club Diner. A good majority of their food and meat comes from Sam's Club. I saw a "Clearance" sticker on the milk that they were making milkshakes with that appeared expired. They leave their Sam's Club meat stay out to thaw next to the grill and it's just simply mismanaged. The place is half the size it used to be, which makes their single register line block any sort of passing through the restaurant. I have stopped going here as of a little over 6 months ago and thought I would share my concerns. People think this place is great but it's NOT anymore. It's pushing an episode of Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmare. $11.95 Milkshakes, $15+ Burgers with NO FRIES or DRINK included. Sysco just opened down the street, maybe they'll stop closing early do go find the most discounted cheap stuff around and go to Sysco for wholesale...
Read moreGreat food. Nice staff. Sometimes the staff chat with customers sitting on stools at the counter. Far more choices of burgers and sandwiches here than you get at nationwide corporate chains. Plus, your choices are not limited to what's printed/posted on the menu. I came for breakfast, but did not see what I wanted on the menu. When I asked, they were more than willing to make an omelette with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, no meat, and no cheese. Cost me $11.60. All omelettes are 3-egg. No doubt, you could get Swiss instead of American cheese, if you want. Coffee is a bargain at $1.95 for a soda-fountain size cup, with a free refill. The only possible improvement they could make (not complaining) would be to put some pictures on the bare wall (opposite side from the grill, counter, stools, register, etc.). No Wi-Fi here, but free Xfinity Wi-Fi is somewhere nearby very close. I'll come back again for lunch someday, like all the...
