My cousin and I once again were searching for a new place in Bellaire this past weekend (5/20) and he chose "Sichuan Noodles" in Bellaire. Its a very small place with tables that are packed pretty closely to each other. Apparently its a family restaurant as three little girls were camped at one of the tables and occasionally roamed around the restaurant, complaining about each other or doing some activity. I know some would find that irritating but to me (and maybe because I grew up with so many younger female cousins) I found it cute and endearing. I ordered the pork dumplings as an appetizer which I could've sworn was a six piece but instead came with 10! For the entree I ordered the stewed beef with cumin, and my cousin ordered fried noodles with shrimp. For some reason my entree came out before the dumplings, but I knew I was in trouble when it arrived and it was covered with chili seeds. Disclaimer: I'm pretty weak when it comes to tolerance with spicy food- maybe a 5 out of 10 at best. But that beef was just a little too much for me. It was tender and honestly delicious, and the cumin was fresh and gave a wonderful, light crunch- I just couldn't handle the heat! My cousin loved his fried noodles with shrimp. He has certain motor skill difficulties which include chewing/swallowing, which means he needs food items that are very soft which makes things more difficult than you think. As far as the service, it was adequate enough for us but there was only one waitress and I imagine that could make things difficult when the restaurant gets busy, and it was starting to as we were finishing our meal. Overall this was a very good experience, I just wish I had questioned the waitress as I sort of ignored the "flame" icon that was next to the dish! You should definitely check this place out, just know that it is Sichuan cuisine which can be quite spicy. But if you like spicy food then I'm certain you'll enjoy Sichuan...

Tried this place out when it recently opened and wanted to help the restaurants opening during covid but I have to say it was the second worse and rude Service I ever been and we eat out a lot in China town . Came in literally behind this one group. Sat down and ordered some food. Then the food kept on coming to the table that came right in front of us . Asked if our food was coming yet because we only ordered 2 dishes and the other table seems to have 5/6 dishes came out already and they said sorry they ordered first already ...ok not a problem . Then she came in a few minute and asked sorry what did we ordered again ? Seriously ? We told her our order and instead of making sure our order gets down right away, another table came after us started getting their food. Later We asked and she said in broken English Ki they ordered before. We argued and she said here look at the compute Le that our order time is after that table . We said that was because she forgot our order for 30 minutes and asked doe it again and entered it into the system later than that table that came after us. She didn't fully understand abs just started to push me and tell me to go back to my table . Later check came and we paid and not a single apology or nothing . Never again . First of all need to get someone that speaks some English and understand more English to communicate . Secondly mistakes happens so just apologize instead of excuses and then pushes customer to their table !!!! Worse and most rude service even for Asian service...

First off the bad reviews are on point according to our experience. Where do I start. We decided to try this place because we are people who like to try new places and things. This was one of the places in China town that wasn't packed or had a waiting line outside. Soon as we walked and sat down the vibes was not good. The waitress was just dry as could be. We ordered something of the menu and that was also advertised with an image of the supposedly the soup you would get. Once we got the soup it looked nothing like the picture. So I asked the waitress about and she responds "its just a picture" very dismissive and just walks away. We didn't not enjoy it and we left it but still payed for it. She definitely needs training on hospitality and customer service. Never offered to fix it or give us another option. We were never checked on. Never received offer for second refills. Also did not like the 2 ladies their were prepping dumplings and peeling peppers with their bare hands at a table across us. Keep in mind all while picking up dirty plates from tables and touching all kinds of things. Also if people that come to your restraunt that are not of your culture it's important to be welcoming and open as they may have questions. But soon as other customers entered their restraunt that were of their culture it was like they pull out the red carpet. Then we had to get up and ask for our check because the lady was too busy sitting at a table on her phone. 🙄 I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WE WILL...
