First let me say that I am a long time Taco Bell customer and I normally enjoy their food. But this location in Kingwood is awful. Which is disappointing since it is right around the corner from my new home.
I first visited a few weeks ago. Immediately upon walking in we noticed it was very warn inside. After receiving our food, and sitting down to eat, we realized it was unbearably warm, and checked with the person in charge. She stated that the owner had been made aware of how warm it was, but insisted that there was not a problem with the A/C system, and refused to call to have it looked at or repaired. He also kept a lock on the thermostat and did not allow anyone other than himself to turn the temperature setting down. This is Houston in the summer. We had the option of leaving, and eating in our car. Which we did. But those conditions are a cruel atmosphere for his employees. Shameful actions by the owner!
Today my wife ran by to pick up food for the family. The food was pretty bad. Crispy tacos were not crispy. They were soggy and the shells stuck to the paper so bad that they completely fell apart when taken out of the wrapper. And my steak burrito supreme, one of their pricier items, was inedible. The steak tasted like it had been soaking in a salt bath overnight. My mouth is still burning as I write this from the amount of salt that was on the meat. I threw half of it away. Just horrible. I doubt that I will ever return to...
Read moreOur Dasher notified us he was having to wait on our order, longer than usual. Once he received it, it was dropped off at our house within 5 minutes, as we live less than a mile from this location. What we received was the most disgusting food we have ever received from a Taco Bell. Everything was cold, all taco shells were soft and soggy, tortillas stuck to their wrappers, lettuce was wilted/limp, and the fillings on everything we ordered were meager. Not a single packet of sauce was included. The impression we got, was that our food had probably been sitting around prepared for hours; nothing was fresh. It also seemed as if they were trying to stretch their ingredients/fillings as far as they could. None of this explains why our Dasher had such a long wait. One would minimally expect hot, fresh food, when the Dasher endures a wait. We were thankfully able to get what was too disgusting to eat, refunded via DoorDash. We still felt the need to leave a Google review to warn others that this location seems to be on the decline. We won’t be eating anything from here again, after...
Read moreReally disappointed in how they handled themselves last night. We noticed they close at 2:00am, so head over. As we drove by at 1:40, ALL the lights on the outside and the drive thru menu were completely off, but friends of ours told us they still drove thru and ordered directly at the window, so we tried that. My boyfriend asked the kid at the window what time they close and his response was to ask someone in the back (who we couldn’t see) “uhh, what time do we close again??” before telling us 2am and that we “could still order if we want”. Bf says you’ve got 20 minutes left and already acting like you’re closed, “nevermind, we’re good” the kid literally goes “alright bye” and SLAMS the window shut. We have two teenage boys and I can’t IMAGINE them acting like that not only to adults, but to their CUSTOMERS. Whomever runs this particular location needs to take a look at who they have operating it around close or just close earlier. If you want to be open until 2am (and you’re paying people to work until then), choose who’s representing you a...
