The Famous Crab — Restaurant in Houston

Famous Crab Cajun Seafood N Oyster Bar at Beltway 8 and 45 South Houston,Tx. Decided to try this place out since it was new and Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and we are support to get an ice storm. Brought my Husband and sister for a early Valentine's dinner.. Jorge was our server.. The food was good till they brought out our carb legs' and hushpuppies for a appetizer. The crab legs were not so good and very fishy tasting and well cooked.. Almost could get positioned from them. The crawfish was good and i got medium should have gotten hotter ones. Cant complain about them.. The hushpuppies were a good appetizer also. Asked our waiter if they served margaritas and he said no.. Stopped one of the waitress walking by and she informed me that yes they had them and ordered one for my husband cause i dont drink. WE placed our order and i was not happy at all when i ordered the flounder cause it came out whole and scored on both sides and over cooked and they dont tell you that . There were so many bones kinda grossed me out cause i thought they were filleted. My sister ordered fillet catfish and they brought her out whole fish 2 of them and half cooked and tasted awful. All though we never spoke to manager and he never came around but we seen him walk through the restaurant when we got there several times but never spoke to us. WE called Jorge over and explained about the fish while me and the husband ate my sisters food never came out.. After we were all done and still waiting on her food asked them to box it up for home. The girl waiter cleared our table as we sat there.. After waiting 20 minutes i went up to ask what's taking so long as others coming in and getting there food and drinks. Needless to say we have eaten and still no food for my sister.. OH yeah they were gonna compensate for this on the bill. But still payed 80.00..Didnt get any compensation. They did finally bring her food out in a to go box.. Then ordered 2 teas to go and it was fishy also so we left it on the table. The service was good but the food was that at all.. Sorry to say that we wont be back there.I think the manager should have showed his appearance and not had the lady come and apologize to us.Let's see how long they will be open at this location before someone gets food poisoning.. Soon as we left my sister was nauseous and ive got gas and bloating bad now and...

From our hostess to our server (Daesha it think is how she spells her name), everything was spectacular. We came in as visitors from out of town and were sight seeing near NASA along with other landmarks. As we walked in we were greeted by the wondeful hostess whom I did not catch the name of but gave us wondeful suggestions as to what sights to visit next. She spoke of her multiple experiences at NASA in her childhood that left my son astonished by the details. After we were seated our server came up to us immediately with a very welcoming demeanor and the most hospitable character. She waited on us like no other. Our food and drinks were served fresh and super fast. The boils are worth it!! We had 2 famous books with the house triple seasoning i believe and it was sooo good that I had to tap out because I was too full. Our drinks didnt even have a chance to condense on the outside of the glass because she was on point with all the refills and clearing the table before we could ask. This was by far one of the best experiences I've EVER had at a restaurant in my LIFE. The music playing at the time as well was "A1" because it was early 2000s-2010s songs that were nostalgic and "family friendly". I had to stop myself from singing along. If you needed any confirmation that this place is the bomb, then here is your sign. I HIGHLY suggest this place. I'm a person who is "Alternative" style wise. Piercings, tattoos, bright neon orange hair (right now at the moment because I always change it), and dress like a tomboy. Due to my outward appearance I get treated poorly quite often when dining out with my family. I am a firm believer in the "Golden Rule" of treating others how you would like to be treated. However, this restaurant staff made me feel like one of there own. The staff was beyond awesome and went above and beyond every expectation i have ever had of dining out. I will DEFINITELY COME BACK.

BEWARE! Roaches…I alerted my waiter that there was a roach on the table corner when I arrived and she said “ugh they keep coming out everywhere” I was like what !!!!!! I should have known there to walk away.

I still ordered my food as I was waiting for my order to come out I spoke to the manager about the issue and she said it must have came in from outside. Now I’m not one to write reviews or stuff like this but that really just erked me considering I’m letting you know about a pest issue you have.

The food came out. I ordered crawfish and crabs. While my family and I were eating my wife suddenly jumped up and yelled. She had a freaken roach on her leg…..not a baby roach either. This was a full blown adult baby carrying roach. At this point everyone turned around and were staring at our table. This was so embarrassing.

The manager came around again and I told her about it and she offered to move us tables. My wife wasn’t having it. We wanted to leave and our appetite was ruined. WAIT it gets better. She refused to let us leave without paying for the food give you we just got the food 2 minutes before this happened.

I reached for the paper towels to clean my hands and as the paper roll spinner spinned guess what happened :) …….. you got it. MORE ROACHES came out of the dam paper tower roll.

I grabbed my wife and kid and told them they can call the cops if they want but I’m not staying in there not paying for anything I did tell everyone in there to be on the lookout for roaches. A few other customers did leave with me.

STAY AWAY once a place has roaches and they don’t shut down for fumigation they just multiply. I don’t doubt a second there’s roaches in that crawfish mix they make …. I’m never going...
