Tacos La Bala — Restaurant in Houston

The first thing I notice is that establishment is so small that people often have to wait for seating to open up. Service is horrible, I wanted to know if the barbacoa was lean or fatti and asked the cashier taking our order if she knew or if she could find out with the kitchen staff and she refused to take four steps to her right to ask and told me "just don't order that" worst service. Also, my mother of 74 years of age went up to the counter where you pick up your food and asked the guy handing out the food for the small molcajete salsa and answer in a very short/rude way to ask the cashier. The owner or management really needs to check the employees. It seems like I'm not the first customer to have experience bad service. The food flavor is on point, very delicious, but fell short on the portion serving. The flour tortillas are really good but barely put any meat in the tacos. The amount of meat they put in the taco is barely enough for half of the taco. Yes, they are really cheap, but then again, you get what you pay for. I rather go somewhere we're they're going to charge me $3.00/taco but get a well served taco with enough meat. I can oversee the small meat portion because the food tasted really good, but I can not let go of the bad service. Especially when they speak to my mother in a rude way.

Lo primero que uno se da cuenta es que el establecimiento es tan pequeño que la gente a menudo tiene que esperar a que se abran los asientos. El servicio es horrible, quería saber si la barbacoa era limpia o si tria mucho grasa y le pregunté la cajera que tomaba nuestro pedido si sabía o si podía averiguarlo con el personal de cocina y se negó a dar cuatro pasos a su derecha a preguntar y me dijo "simplemente no pidas ese" peor servicio. Además, mi madre de 74 años subió al mostrador donde recoges tu comida y le pedio al señor que entrega la comida por la pequeña salsa de molcajete y le respondía de una manera muy corta/grosera diciendole que le preguntara a la cajera. El propietario o gerente realmente tiene que educar a los empleados. Parece que no soy el primer cliente en tener experiencia de mal servicio. El sabor de la comida está muy rico, muy delicioso, pero se quedó corto en la porción de carne. Las tortillas de harina son realmente buenas pero apenas ponen carne en los tacos. La cantidad de carne que ponen en el taco es apenas suficiente para la mitad del taco. Sí, son realmente baratos, pero de nuevo, obtienes lo que pagas. Prefiero ir a algún lugar donde nos van a cobrar $3.00/taco pero conseguir un taco bien servido con suficiente carne. I experience racism and food extremely cold Choro beans straight out the refrigerator! Chicken Quesadilla Was dry and warm… I was treated as if I was unwelcome to eat !!!! In Houston for work and decided to stop by for lunch on a Thursday at 3:00pm. It was busy for it being after lunch. Still, was pretty quick. I had 3 asada and 2 desebrada tacos on corn with a large Jamaica and my husband had 5 pastor with a large lemonade. Side of Rice and beans. The tacos were good. Just simple and straight to the point tacos. Which means they’re good! Their salsas are spicy not flavorful. Which is not necessarily a bad thing for me because I prefer spice over flavor for salsa. Service is average. They want you in and out. The thing that surprised me the most is price. We got all this for $21.59. We will come back next time...
