On Thursday 5/30/24 at about 12 noon, stop by on my way to Katy.. I live off Monroe but I work in Katy, my coworker/friend asked for birthday tacos, the lady on the counter was super super nice, I tipped to her actually, but anyways the food was not how I expected, I was embarrassed, I ordered a fajita quesadilla, the tortilla was not crispy, it was not even cooked through, it had sooooo much grease on top on of the quesadilla when i opened the foil that it was wrapped in you could remove the grease with a spoon, that's how much grease there was , I had to absorb the grease with a paper towel, we didn't end-up eating all that large or medium quesadilla, we threw it away. The chicharon tacos , the flour torilla was not heated all the way it was still raw like the quesadilla tortilla, the chicharon was so salty and not crispy, I ordered 4, threw 2 away, then I ordered 4 fajita tacos those were ok but again the tortilla was still raw to me we only ate one each, we threw 2 away.. the worse food I have ordered in the hood, I brag about how the hood has the best authentic Mexican food, but this was not good birthday tacos, I spent about $40.00 with tip, worse $35.00 , I have spent on food, the quesadilla did not look like the pictures, the tortilla was raw, not crispy, I honestly will never return. The only good thing about stopping by was that waitress in the cash register that took my order she was very helpful and kind. I feel I have to make up for a birthday tacos that was ridiculous.🤢 I know they could of done better. But since it was an order to go they didn't...

In addition to the remarkable food and service, the overall vibe of Taqueria Del Sol is undeniably charming. The lively and vibrant atmosphere paired with the delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen create an irresistible allure that keeps me coming back time and time again. It's a testament to the enduring quality and excellence that this restaurant has upheld for decades.

Read moreI normally snap pictures but was turned off when the service was 1 of 5. My family, friends, and I hadn't dined at this taqueria in years and decided to pick this restaurant for our dinner spot.
The service was horrible, and the waitress gave us attitude because we asked for menus. We didn't realize paper menus were under the glass of the table. We kindly asked if we could have better menus and were told they didn't have any. The problem here is that they are hard to read under the glass, and the print is small, making it hard for some to read, especially in a low lighted restaurant. The food quality over the years has gone down and isn't as good as it was back decades ago. My last go-to is usually the bakery, but after seeing the roof tiles and surrounding inside area turned me off. This restaurant has needed some TLC for decades. The last turnoff is that the restrooms are still not wheelchair friendly due to only having two toilets and one sink for a restaurant that has a large capacity of customers. A mother and a child were in one stall while I was washing my hands and walked out without washing their hands. I'm pretty sure it was due to the tight spot and having to wait in a small tight area to wash their hands. Due to the capacity of the restaurant, the number of restroom stalls and the one sink is out of code. Families who pick this restaurant pick it because it's either part of their childhood or want to introduce this spot to someone new. It was my...
