I don't think it's fair how the owner automatically adds a "15% gratuity" tip on the check regardless of the waitresses performance. Our waitress completely disappeared towards the end of our meal. It was a bit annoying having to just sit there and wait for her to bring us a box to go. We waited 20 minutes for her to bring us the check and give us a to go box. She also had a bit of an "I don't care attitude" and placed our drinks down in a forceful manner. Of course she would have an attitude, her tip was already secured! It is the customer's right to decide how much to tip a waiter or waitress based on their job performance and how attentive they were. They should warn people that THEY decide how much customers tip their employees before the customer is sat down and given a huge surprise at the end of the meal. Fyi to people who struggle with anxiety or have a tough time being in loud places; this restaurant blasts old Mexican music. It makes it hard to focus on eating. I ordered tacos. The barbacoa didn't have any flavor. It tasted a little bit like eggs. The al pastor tacos were surprisingly good though. Aside for the tip fiasco this place is okay. I'll give it that, it's just okay. Not extraordinary, but not bad either. They have security walking around making sure that everyone is behaving. Their bathroom toilets are a bit pathetic looking if you ask me. They're tiny bowls that look like they could get clogged. Parking is okay. When you enter you have to wait to be taken to your seat. Why? I don't know. It's better to allow people to choose. Anyway, I'm sure there are better places to go spend your money, but if you're looking for an okay place to...
Read moreVery poor customer service . I eat from here frequently. My favorite dish is the mojarra frita fish. My usual order request is for chef to add a little extra salt because usually the fish is not salted enough for my taste . I’ve never had an issue doing it this way . The food has always been good no issues. On this occasion however, the chef over salted the food to the point where it wasn’t edible. When I spoke to both the waiter and then to the manager. The manager Armando told me to order regular next time. He refused to provide a replacement and made it seem like I was lying or being unreasonable. He never apologized or came back to the table to follow up. I was very disappointed because this is literally the only restaurant that I order this dish from and I’ve had several visits and never had an issue. When I asked for the managers name the waiter Jonathan provided the wrong name and advised the managers name was kevin. I asked to speak with the manager again and asked his name which is when I realized they provided the wrong name. We requested drinks to go and the waiter provided 1/2 a cup. The waiters were very distant and rude . I must however give compliments to Maritza she has has always made our...
Read moreI am not going back to this Arandas location ever!! If there is a mistake or a misunderstanding in the order, they make the waiter or waitress pay for their mistake. I place ONE order of the street tacos to dine in, and a beef broth to go. The street tacos was one order to share with my friend. We asked for two plates since I indicated we were going to share the entree. The waiter brought us TWO orders and guilt trip us to accept it so he wouldn't have to pay for it. I said YES bring us two plates which nor in English nor in Spanish means TWO orders. After we left, we were wondering if it is a strategy they use to sell more since it wasn't busy at all. When we went to pay, I talked to the manager, but he didn't really care. He said that it was their policy to make their employees pay for the order if they make a mistake. No other restaurant, to my knowledge, "forces you" to eat something you didn't order... I hope it was worth losing customers over their stupid rule. Who would want to work for them anyway 😕 Meat was overcooked and in the salty side anyway. Maybe meat was reheated. They used to be good and affordable. Not worth the aggravation!! Try Las Haciendas, Gringos, Los...
