I wanted to close out my day-off with trying something that I never have had and something that was in the area, Mambo Seafood.
The big sign sitting right outside the door said Online Orders. Make your order online and call when you are here.
I sat on one of the yellow benches in front of the doorway and made my very first order. It took 9 minutes. I then walked in and there was one customer made up of 2 people in front of me. I kept 6ft distance (practicing social-distancing) this woman walks in and passes me up...skipping me in line. I ignore it. Then a manager 'Rita' (I know she is a manager because her ID tag said so) comes up to the Online Order counter where I am standing and proceeds to speak in Spanish... "Hola." I say, "Hola." She walks away. 1 minute later she comes back, and says to the other people in the restaurant, "¿Puedo ayudarte?" I then say, "Si, tu puedes ayudarme." She finally acknowledges that I am standing there. [That Is Rude!] I stood in front of the Online Order line/counter because I noticed that the two ladies infront of me were making their order with the cashier. So I moved. After I moved the cashier noticed and spoke to me in english and said I will help you in a minute. (She noted my confusion - AWESOME) Back to Manager Rita: After finally acknowledging me and I was standing right on the other side of the counter, Rita proceeded to try and find my order. She later realized it needed more time to be made and discussed with me [In Spanish] that the wait would be another 10 minutes. I literally only went in because why call if I had already arrived and I could simply say I was here. That was my intent but if I didn't speak Spanish the manager would have more than likely asked me to move to the side so that she could help the person who came in after me. That was very disrespectful and heart shattering since this was my very first visit to the restaurant. Either way as a manager she should have acknowledged the person at the counter she just approached. I hate the food actually tasted good. Then I could blame it on the chain and not her horrible customer service. I wanted to address the issue when I was there but the young man who expedited my order [He and I communicated in Spanish as well] was very polite and confirmed my order with me verbally and sent me off with a have a nice day. I let that moment be the conclusion since he and in all honesty no one else didn't made me feel as unwelcomed as Manager Rita did.

Read morePlaced my order by phone. When I got there & paid, I was told it be another 5 minutes for the order to be ready. After waiting patiently & observing for about 25 minutes. After noticing they were not acknowledging my long wait I finally had to ask why my order was taking so long. One of the managers, somewhat looked for it & finally handed me a bag that had been sitting there for a long period of time. Honestly, I kind of lost my appetite after seeing how inconsiderate they were handling customers waiting that I asked for a cancellation. She offered to make me a new fresh order within five minutes so I agreed in an attempt to make it right & not look like someone else I'm not. She handed me my order then. We parked in the same shopping center & proceeded to enjoy our food as a family during this unprecedented times. We were completely disappointed when we found out they had lied to us & not provided a fresh batch of fish & shrimp. We had to eat it cold & make the best of it for the sake of not dealing with inconsiderate, ignorant people. We had been enjoying eating & ordering from there for quite a while but have decided not too anymore for quite a while. As a business owner, I cant understand how people get simple things wrong. Read moreUPDATE: i came back today because the manager mayra reach me to fix the bad experience i have early this week, today the service was amazing and food came out quick, i be put mambo for one of top list to get amazing meal, thank you to the team take care my meal and provide amazing service.. First time i try this brand, terrible service, menu looks amazing and very appetite, i decided to stop to this location to have a great dinner with my family on my way home after spending all day in Galveston, the server was so slow barely getting our drinks and i order somo fresh oysters to start my meal never came after 45 minutes, also we order the food and still not getting anything to feed my self or my kids, the manager came and great us very nice but she's needs to be follow the servers and see what is going on we nevergetif we want another drink, 2 of my family members wants to drink more alcohol to bad, just lose some sales opportunities , after all we decide to not eat and we cancel the whole order, bad experience and wasted my time and i hope you're can fix this issues and getting the sales opportunity during...
