First off, the playing fields are nice, small but good for the size. Iâve been paint balling before and this is the smallest one but again the fields are good. Now on to the negatives. I first called the day before and told them I would have 7 in my part and the lady on the line said we could do private party. When we got there one lady said we couldnât do private party because we needed 8, then another lady said we could do it with 7 then they decided that 7 could be private party. After we got geared up we played one round, came out and then one of the front desk people came out and told us that we could no longer be private party because we where 7 and if we paid for an 8th person we could keep playing private. I told her it was fine and that i just wanted my money back then for private party and we will play as walk ons. Well the front desk lady said that we already played private (one freaking game) and that there would be no refunds. I told her we only played one game and we paid for private party rates. She told us that it didnt matter cuz we bought the 500 pack of paintballs and used them (by used them and I mean used like 30 each from each pack). But they didnât care. Said that we already opened the packs and already played private (again one game) that whatâs done is done. We had to just bite the bullet I guess. So we decided to just play and boy where we disappointed. We only got to play like 6 games in around 3 hours because it was very disorganized on who plays and even getting referees to referee the game. It was a mess. We ended up playing with this rough group of guys that just went ham on us and unloaded it all on us. Wasnât any fun cuz where not experineced. We told the people that we didnât want to play with them no more because it was to rough. So we had to sit out because it wasnât any fun getting hit in the back and face with those guys. Well I guess the front desk people felt bad cuz they sent someone out to do one private game again. We did and that was the funniest we had while we where there. Well anyway fast forward to the last game we played. We finished the last game and was told by the referee to wait there at the field and reload. Well we waited and waited and nothing. We finally got upset and just sat down. Waited a bit more and finally just packed all our stuff up and left. All the while thereâs referees walking all around us. Sitting on the benches and talking to other referees. And just walking around. I donât know how many times we asked someone if we could play. I should have listened to the other reviews on how terrible the organization and the referees are. We only used like 100 paintballs each of us. So we waisted our money not only on the private party that was promised to us. But also on the 500 balls that the staff said that we had to buy because we was private party, again they ended up going back on there word. 500 balls is way to many especially when you only get to play like 6 times. Please save your money and donât waist your time on this place. Itâs not worth it. The nuke town field is nice but itâs not even a good playing field. There are better and much more organized other paintball companyâs. Seek them out instead. Unless you wanna waist your time and not...
Read moreVisited recently and I loved the field and friendly nature that the staff provides. The cashiers were very friendly and made it very easy to get out and have a great time. Although i enjoyed the field, there were some issues that left a bad taste in my mouth. The rules of play were not told to first time visitors, and the system in place to get games going felt a bit sluggish compared to other fields I visited. In my opinion safety rules should be reinforced especially for new time players. Play areas tend to be more close quarters than most fields so I feel as rules like the surrender rule should be told to all players before they start any matches. I saw players and refs remove their masks in the field while markers were live (one stray shot could make someone lose their eye). I saw players enter the bench area missing barrel socks. I also saw a whole group of players wiping their shots and getting away with it. While it is evident things like this will happen I feel as if refs should crack down on it more and make sure it is not a common occurrence. My group was also confused on how rec played worked here, at other fields rec play is held on a certain number of matches an hour (5:00 PM game, 5:15 PM game, etc) but at this field it felt as if when you played was random. The fields were fun to play on but on nuke town the inside of the buildings is almost pitch black causing it to be very hard to see inside and on speed ball some of the obstacles were not fully inflated. While playing it can sometimes feel as if refs are not fully participating (Not calling when the game is over, not paint checking, not designating where both teams should start, etc) Sometimes refs would be on point but other times it would feel as if the players have to ref themselves. I don't think it is a factor of being lazy but instead of being a little inexperienced (which can be worked on, I loved the personalities of all the refs!) Through and through H-Town Paintball is a very enjoyable experience with good pricing, very kind staff, and an environment that will make you want to come back. With a couple glaring issues fixed (Refs more in tune with the game, Rec play being a bit more clear on when games will take place, safety prioritized by informing new and returning players of important rules, and more lights being added to inside the buildings on nuketown) I am sure H-Town Paintball will be one of the best...
Read moreStaff is rude and the manager is excessively rude, they overcharge for everything, and donât create a fun positive atmosphere. $40 for one small bag of 500 rounds is ridiculous. I get it that itâs a business but thatâs not even worth it especially when youâre in large groups. They literally will charge you nearly $70 just for gear rental which is outrageous. The way this place is managed is just all about making profit and does not have any great customer service. One small box of pizza is $20 and when you play night ops you get a free drink so thereâs that???? đ¤ˇđťââď¸ Waste of time and money and oh yeah donât bring your own food or paintballs because theyâll ban you𤣠and kick you out! đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł I have it a one star because the Call of Duty maps are cool but itâs borderline copy right infringement and this place should be shut down because they are making a profit off of COD maps without any affiliation. I went theređ They should just put whites only on the sign out front because as soon as we walked in the staff rolls their eyes and are ignore you initially. I have hearing impairment from my military service and when I asked the staff to repeat themselves they literally made me feel like I didnât even exist. I attempted to make basic conversation and they all seemed to be too dead inside to have basic conversation. The manager was the worst one she literally kicked us out and banned us just for using other paint balls, it was an honest mistake we literally didnât know and they canât expect everyone to be able to afford their overpriced rounds. She came out screaming and aggressive for no reason in front of my family which I havenât seen in 4 years because I was overseas. It was the worst experience I had. Even the first 3 games we played I couldnât even shoot because the guns they gave me were not working. So basically all the money we payed just to play 3 games. Even if I was allowed to go back I wouldnât because Iâve never felt more belittled and ripped...
