The Cheesecake Factory — Restaurant in Houston

Review for the visit on February 21st,2025 We visited cheesecake factory on the first day of releasing their new special menu which includes chicken shawarma and Thai noodles. The waiters was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious and tasty. Giving 5 stars for this visit, and keeping my old review.

I was surprised I gave this restaurant 5 stas. Yes it is one of my favorites and number one on my list to dine in around Baybrook mall, but come on I never ever had a good service at this place, and on our last visit October 10/22/2023. It was like wow,, couldn't get worse? The waiter took 15 minutes to get our drinks ( hint: the ice in the cups were already melted).I asked for Splenda when I placed the drink order. We waited forty minutes for her to go back to take the order( hint number 2: there were three starving kids on the table by now), I told her she never got that Splenda, she left again to get the sweeter, and came back after 10 minutes. She took the order, and I asked for sparkling water with ice.YAY! Finally. We got the food at 5:40 pm. She came back when we almost done to ask if we want cheese cake, and I told her she never got that sparkling water, and she was ready to go get it ( for another 10 minutes probably), so I said no please take it out the check. To make our visit more pleasant, another waiter broke a plate next to my dad, and the glasses went all over his neck and had, but fortunately, he was fine and no cut. Again, the food is great, and very delicious and tasty. Service is getting worse and worser. Old review : ! I love cheesecake factory. It is one of my favorite restaurants. When I like to have lunch out, it is my first option usually. Food is very delicious, tasty and fresh. I always order many appetizers and small plates to share before the entree ( which we have to skip sometimes because their irresistible bread!). My favorites are: the Korean cauliflower, avocado and beet salad and the avocado egg roll. For deserts I like to try any...

Our families LOVE this establishment, a whole lot. Unsure when we first introduced the Matriarch to this restaurant however it's been her go to for many years for almost every celebration, purchased meal, gift card celebratory choice, etc. FOOD: The food is ALWAYS on point, fulfilling, savory & at times enough for two days. Variety fits all of our party's preferences so it's an easy resturant choice for us and NORMALLY with difficulty giving another resturant a trial to add to our food heart. Ha! SERVICE: Is always with a smile, patient, focused and EVERY staff does their role satisfactorily. Whether dine in, carry out, on call or delivery. I can think of ONLY 1 delivery order that was inaccurate and although they couldn't redeliver a correct choice and compensation was made immediately for our troubles. On our most recent carry out another impatient customer behind interrupted the order at counter, the helping staff greeted them & politely asked they wait until my order was completed to be serviced; AWESOME just AWESOME!!!!! ATMOSPHERE: Is usually busy but comfortable; good for business. On this carryout order the line out the door, people standing everywhere, including inside OVERWHELMING.....hence 4 stars, I waited in my vehicle for the 20mins to receive my carryout....SHOWS the level of service & desire to WAIT for a table....SPEAKS VOLUMES & supports this post. I will say by the time I went back in (20mins later) to pick up my carryout order, not a stood outside, which is also good for business because too long of a wait means a business can go somewhere else. There's literally booming business that shares the parking lot. :/ yea parking close is a challenge, I just got lucky and got a close up spot while ordering and waiting for my carryout. It was our first time going today, first of all, our server was absolutely amazing, let me say that before I go into the errors.... it seems like all the servers are so attentive and bubbly!! I loved that.

Now the food, I have some issues but I'd come back...

Me and my daughter were struggling until we found what was HIGHLY recommended on tiktok, the steak Diana and scampi, and the steak Diana and chicken, now....unfortunately I thought the angel hair pasta was apart of the scampi, because in my experience, scampi usually has noodles lol... HOWEVER, to get what is all over tiktok and Facebook, it is not something that is there.... it is something you ask to substitute in place of the mashed potato's when ordering, but that isn't exactly what happened when we got the bill.... When our food came out, it was with the mashed potatoes initially, and they were cold on top of it.... our steak wasn't medium well but well, but the flavor was there, it had potential to be GREAT but it was okay. Now.... Our amazing sever got my daughters request in, but it did turn our affordable plate into an over priced one, I had no idea those noodles costed almost $7 more, I don't think we'll get that again due to the amount it turned into... unless that was a mistake which I'd love to know.... My youngest got the kids Alfredo, which was severely salty, she said it tasted slimy too, so she got the marinara in place of that, to which she enjoyed A LOT, and my mom got the Jamaican shrimp and chicken and loved it! Our appetizer was the fried mac and cheese balls, they were amazing but EXTREMELY filling.... The bread was awesome... no lies told there! People raved about that !

We finished it off with a pineapple upside down cheesecake and my GOD, was it the BEST cheesecake I've ever had!!! Absolutely chefs kiss worthy!!!!!

Over all, I wasn't happy about the charges I saw but we did enjoy our meal...
