This review is for the League City TX store. The furniture is satisfactory (should be for the price they charge). The day we picked out our furniture the store staff couldn’t have been more pleasant, helpful, attentive - and that’s where the pleasantries end. We were given an estimated date the furniture was going to be available and we’re told the store would call is to schedule delivery. The estimated date came and went and we decided to pop in the store. We were told the furniture had been available but since the salesperson had been on vacation nobody had called us yet. It was all very apropos like it didn’t matter we were waiting it would happen on their time. My wife was pretty upset with the way we were treated after the sale was made that she decided to call the store back and cancel the order. That’s when things got really bad. We were told there was a no refund policy and if we canceled we would lose our deposit of almost $2K. We were told the reason was that we had opted for financing and the deposit was sent to the finance company and couldn’t be reversed. This was not a special or custom order. The patio furniture was standard production pieces as they were on the showroom floor with the standard pillows. So buyer beware. If you want service after the sale, I suggest you go spend your hard earned money...
Read moreWe had grown tired of looking at patio sets. Each place we went had uncomfortable furniture that felt cheap, but the price tag was not cheap. My daughters and I walked into Chair King, and Bryan greeted us at the door. We told him what we were looking for, and he led us straight to a set that he was certain we would love. Well, he was right! We still looked at all the other sets that fit our search, but ultimately bought the one he first presented to us. Every one of the sets we looked at were actually comfortable, and you could immediately see the quality of the product over other stores offerings. Bryan even rushed the processing of the order so that we could get it delivered the same day! The delivery driver called us a couple hours before the scheduled delivery time, to let us know he was going to be later than expected. A few minutes after we received that call, we got a text from Bryan giving us the same information. We appreciated the communication, and my wife was thrilled with the surprise delivery of a new patio set. Read moreThe experience was bad from the very start. I purchased a fire pit and set of Adirondack chairs for my wife for Mother’s Day. I paid for Chair King to assemble and deliver my new furniture and the fire pit was only partially assembled with a big unopened bag of parts waiting for me to put together. After assembling the rest of the fire pit myself I learned that the pit didn’t work. I received delivery of my initial fire pit on 6/13/23. There were long spans of time where I heard nothing from chair king and had to vigilantly follow up with the store we finally received our replacement fire pit on 2/17/24…. 249 days later! When I asked for some sort of resolution for our horrible experience I was told that someone would be calling me back. I had to follow up numerous times until I finally spoke to a manager. I was told I would hear something back in a few days. After another three weeks of no word from chair king I had to call again for an update.
