MY ENGAGEMENT RING!!! My husband and I came in to fix my ring setting. I have a moissanite ring and because my gem is pretty big for a slim band and for 4 prongs it got loose and fell off. The night before going to the shop my husband tried fixing it himself and set the moissanite back in place and it did not move at all but it did need a new tip. (we know that in the future we need to re-set the whole ring as the gold was weakened but for now we wanted a temporary fix- they did say that as well and told us it would be at least 2-3 years before we needed to do that)
For the time being we came in to re-tip the prongs and for a new tip. The service was really fast which was nice but when my ring came back the prongs were no longer the v- prongs that I came in with which you can see in the last picture I’m wearing my ring, it was now rounded prongs( they didn't tell me prior that they weren't going to keep the same shape) , as well as huge and uneven gaps on the side of my ring that are suppose to hug my moissanite gem. Seems like the service was very fast but with no care for the end result at all... you can imagine with all that gap it did not hold up and within a week and only being worn TWICE (I take it off for work so I don't wear it everyday) it got looser then when we came back they said I probably hit it on something and need to be more careful. They fixed it but basically said it was my fault that happened. I'm thinking after wearing it for basically two days it shouldn't have affected it that fast. If it was done properly it would have held up the 2-3 years they told me the previous visit.
A week later I find that it is loose again and I haven't worn it since... sadly my ring is so uneven and more messed up then when I came here the first time.
I do like the people they seemed nice but please don't waste your time here service is not good at least for fixing rings (they seem good at watch’s) and I'm truly sad about my ring looking...
Read moreI went there for an engraving and left with a beautiful chain and a full heart. Rarely in retail do you find a place so considerate of a customer’s needs. They did not try to oversell me when I said I also needed a chain for the cross pendant I brought in to have engraved, and even though I was a bit emotional about my small budget, the salesman treated me with respect and grace. I was still on the fence about getting a silver chain for a white gold pendant, but I decided to think about it and look around the mall at my other options. While I was looking around and waiting on the engraving, I received a phone call from the store to check on the scripture I said I wanted engraved. Thank goodness for the woman who works there! I wish I would have caught her name, but she had caught my mistake…I wrote the wrong scripture on the post it they gave me and she helped me fix it. When I went back to pick up the pendant, I knew I had to buy the chain from them. Sure I could pay 3x as much at a pawn shop for one in white gold, but quite frankly I shouldn’t spend that kind of money right now and the store clerks at Fast Fix were so kind and thoughtful, not to mention a great attention to detail, that I couldn’t justify spending my money anywhere else. I am so thankful I went there to have my pendant engraved and it looks great on the chain they helped me pick…I would highly recommend Fast Fix to anyone in search of the perfect jewelry for a loved one or any repairs or engravings. PS- They also told me it would take two hours for my engraving but it...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for a long time, before their move to the new location. They are trustworthy, fair and honest with their pricing and will underpromise and overdeliver on the turnaround time.
They’ve done simple (remove a link, solder a charm) to elaborate repairs (replacing diamonds and gemstones) on silver, gold and white gold and have always been happy.
Updated 12/22/21. They were able to shorten a few links in two bracelets in two hours while we shopped last Tuesday. We appreciate their quick service as we live in Galveston and it’s a trek to come back!
Updates 2/9/22 they’re replacing a lost amethyst stone from a cluster ring I’d written off as a goner. So happy! Replaced a clasp on my husband’s bracelet and added a charm to mine. Great, quality service!
Update 11/8/22. Brian was awesome! I had a lapis bracelet that I wanted a lobster clasp on plus shortened but the cost to do so was almost as much as the bracelet. He tightened the original clasp and viola! It is safe to wear. He also verified if two lone earrings I had were gold or not, same with two “diamonds”. Excellent service as usual!!
Update 3/29/24. Continue to provide excellent service! Shortened three ankle bracelets for us. Great, quick service as usual!
Update 12/15/24. Bought some dainty white gold stud earrings for our 5 year old granddaughter. I was also looking for a ring to replace a lost eternity ring and was able to look through their massive catalog! Always helpful, even though they...
