Read moreMy husband and I gave this place a try. It's a beautiful restaurant with excellent food but very poor service. When we arrived, no one came to greet us and we had to walk to the back of the restaurant before meeting someone we had to assume worked there. As we were being seated, our server warned us that they only offer Mediterranean food. I thought that was an odd and unwelcoming thing to say, and it definitely made us feel like outsiders. We ordered apps and drinks to start, and the apps arrived before our drinks did. We had to ask twice for our drinks after being served the apps. I ordered the mint lemonade and it was so phenomenally good and worth the wait. Our entrees came to the table at different times, which was also odd to me, but my food was still warm and delicious by the time my husband was served. He ordered the mixed grill, which was very plain and lacking when compared to other restaurants (especially for the price), but the meats were grilled to perfection and he enjoyed it. I enjoyed the Arayes Kafta. We were going to stay for kunafe and another round of drinks, but a patron lit up a cigarette inside and I couldn't breathe so we had to leave before we even had a chance to box up our leftovers. The hookah never bothered me and actually smelled great, but I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. Also, they automatically include an 18% gratuity...
Read moreNew owner was not as humble as I expected. I had a family iftar dinner of 57 and the owner attempted to over charge 70 based on the chairs. He then did not provide the food that was discussed when we placed a deposit. Lastly, I had my son come later after everyone left and I paid for him and his wife to find him reject my son from having desert because the owner confronted them with their plate in hand saying we already closed our tab. During Ramadan, how dare you reject a fasting person. The photos of the food are from the old owners and this place is now owned by and Indian named Kamal. I’ve never been so embarrassed to have invited my family at a restaurant that offered such poor hospitality. Btw valet is required for each car is 10 which is not humble for a...
