Saw this place on an Instagram post and decided to give it a try. I brought my mom who can be a bit picky when it comes to restaurant food, so I was a bit conservative with what I ordered and still worried she might turn her nose up at it. Lo and behold she loved everything I ordered. The Fluffy Kaak pictures were too good to pass up so I ordered one as well as something called kafta between two wafer thin pastry bread, hummus with meat topping which comes with three generous puffy bread or pitas. There was a small plate of pickled vegetables, fresh tomatoes and some delicious bright green olives. All very good! The picture of the butter and sugar pie called my name and did not disappoint! It looked a bit like a cinnamon roll but the texture was more of a flaky baklava...it took a little longer to make and came out just as we were finishing up the other plates. It was served piping hot and gorgeous...very sweet and just the right portion for my mom and I to share. Side note, my mother likes sweets but normally keeps it to just a couple of bites, but this dessert was so good she just kept going. The pkace itself has ample space and tables and clean. You order and pay at the counter and you get a number to take to your table. The food started coming out in short order so no long wait. There is a self serve station with disposable plates and plastic cutlery as well as condiments to choose from. The prices were very reasonable, the various plates and two waters came out to about $32. I will be coming back as I am very curious about some of the other items in the menu and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, fresh food at thankfully reasonable prices. Sadly, I did not take pictures but will be sure to do so next time and there will most definitely be...
Read moreI had come across this restaurant while ordering from Uber Eats and wanted to check it out, having never tried authentic Lebanese fare before. Yesterday, I finally got the chance to eat here with my husband and his brother as part of my birthday brunch. The first thing I noticed was the very neat and trendy atmosphere with a nice ambiance. When we got to the ordering counter and confessed we didn't know the first thing about Lebanese food, the young man at the counter was very helpful, enthusiastically and patiently explaining all the terms and giving his own honest recommendations when we asked. Between all of us, we ordered the Lahme bil Ajin, Cheesy Kaak, Cheese and Beef Manoush, the Foul & hummus and the We're Dough Chicken. All of the items were of a good portion size (the Lahme bil Ajin was smaller but it's price was that of a side). My brother-in-law and I, being huge cheese lovers found the fluffy bread and mild spices perfection and my health-conscious husband also delighted in the spread (although he seemed more intent on the hummus and pita than anything, so probably not the best place for a diet-conscious person). For dessert the brothers ordered a Snickers and Kit Kat Saaj-I personallly found the Snickers one tastier but both were delightful. I ordered the Butter and Sugar Cake which tasted like a giant, fluffy Baklava. All in all, we were very pleased with the meal and are I would definitely recommend this to anyone who...
Read moreCame here on a Sunday morning to try it after seeing other great reviews. We wanted to love this place, but unfortunately the service level just wasn’t up to standard.
The place was absolutely packed, and seating was a big issue during our visit. We had chosen a table along the wall, and about 30 minutes into our visit we were asked to move to accommodate a large party that had just come in.
We were waiting on a to-go order and we let the manager know, but due to a misunderstanding they thought the order was under our table number (we had placed a separate online order). After about 5 minutes, someone who we think is the owner came to our table and brashly stated that there was no order for us. I showed him the receipt for our mobile order, to which he rolled his eyes and rushed back to the kitchen to check on it.
A minute later, we were rudely waved over to the counter to pick up our order and were promptly rushed out of the restaurant.
This is not the way to treat your paying customers. In responses to other reviews, the owner has mentioned that they treat their customers as if they were in their own home, but we certainly did not experience this supposed level of hospitality on our visit. The food was nothing to write home about either, so we will not be returning. Maybe figure out a better seating plan to accommodate ALL of your customers instead of rushing people out to seat larger parties because you don’t have enough tables...
