Worst experience of my life. This was at the Hudson, Ohio Perkins. I always get the senior 1 egg benedict and since I don't eat meat ask if I could have the turkey patty instead. No problem. When the order comes there is not hollandaise sauce on the benedict. I immediately ask the waitress where it is - she goes back and they have to warm it in the microwave while my egg is getting cold. I ask her if I can speak to the Mgr. who comes out immediately and I ask her how can they miss the sauce? She says he is new and was confused. I said, What? it comes with sauce - well this turned into this mgr. becoming very argumentative, challenging, loud, told me I am always rude to her employees and I even made her cry - WHAT??? I had never seen her before. She's literally yelling at me abt human error and that he is new. I said, well I don't think this is his first restaurant jog. I asked her to leave so I could eat my meal before it got colder - but NO she was on the attack so I asked her again to leave. She kept going on and on about what a horrible customer I was - I go in maybe once every 2 months and I have never had a waiter or waitress or order problem. I told her I was going to call corporate, well, that really ignited her. I could not get her to shut up or leave. I have bronchitis, severe sinus infection and just want to get eat and get home. She finally left and returned to tell me that my bill was taken care of, that I am not to return to Perkins which only enraged me. I said I don't know what her problem is, that she has zero customer service skills but this only gets her going again, literally berating and yelling at me and telling me she has been there 7 yrs., blaah, blaah, blaah. I tell her to leave me alone, I am trying to eat but "no" she just kepts on, so finally I call her a idiot which now she starts about me swearing at her - I figured that would have got her to leave, but "NO". Finally, I scream at the top of lungs to GO AWAY. Everyone in the restaurant, of course, heard. While I sat drinking my coffee, I observed her bringing out some other customers food and leaned down and close into them to tell them about me. SHE IS NOT RESTAURANT OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE MATERIAL. I cannot believe that she found it necessary to go off on a tyrannt over her new employee's human error as she calls it. I think she has some major...
Read moreI found the cure for constipation and it's the food at Perkins. Man...so disappointing. First let's start with the sanitary conditions - The bathrooms are beyond disgusting. If any water comes out of the spigot it's not hot. Trash cans are filled and overflowing onto the floor at 10am and the floor grate is off leaving a large hole in the floor. The men's bathroom was unusable with the entire toilet spray with feces. Secondly - The table was cleared but not wiped down. It had coffee stains and food crumbs still on top. Had to send my silverware back due to a sticky oily residue on the fork and knife. Was it ever clean?...Who knows :( Thirdly - The food was less than average. I had the California Avocado Eggs Benedict. The eggs were WAY over cooked. The yolk was hard and pasty. The English muffin was soaked in grease. My guest had a patty melt that was the same - SOAKED IN OIL/GREASE and lacking in any taste. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the environment is well below average standards. Finally and the last critic - Our server was fantastic, but the lady taking our money when we paid never asked us how our meal was like she did for the customer in front of us. I don't know...maybe she could tell we had a lousy experience and didn't want to hear about it. Anyhow, we will never go back and if we do it's only to watch the place get torn down to the ground.
UPDATE: The manager did respond back to apologize. He seemed to be surprised, but if he was actually present in his establishment and did a walk through he would have seen what we saw. He mentioned about sending coupons or something like that to bring our business back. At first, I wanted to tell him 'No', but decided to make him 'feel' better about his sincerity for the effort of calling and tell him 'yes'. Haven't received anything from him as of this day. He said his name was Mike. Either the...
Read moreMy recent visit to Perkins in Hudson was absolutely outstanding and worth every star! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. The hostess, Mr Jack Mack James Jamison, greeted us with a bright smile and made us feel like valued guests right away. She was friendly, efficient, a little cutie 🥰 , and got us seated quickly even though the restaurant was quite busy.
But the real standout of the evening was our waitress—she was phenomenal! Attentive without being overbearing, she struck the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, kept our drinks filled, and made great menu recommendations. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great dining experience. Her positive energy and attention to detail truly elevated our meal.
As for the food, it was everything we expected and more—delicious, well-prepared, and served hot. The menu has something for everyone, and the portions were generous. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back.
Perkins in Hudson is clearly doing something right with their team. A big thank you to the amazing staff, especially our wonderful waitress and the welcoming hostess, for making our visit so enjoyable....
