Lloyd's Bar — Restaurant in Humble

Tonight is only my second time in this beer bar in downtown Humble (the first time was about 3 years ago). I like this place. There are only 10 souls in here, but we're having a good time. I'm already on my 3rd Silver Bullet ($3.25), and working up to my 3rd karaoke song. Melissa the bartender is great. She always has a smile on her face, and she even takes her turn at karaoke. Jim Curry is the karaoke jock, and he's doing an excellent job. The regulars tell me karaoke is every Tuesday and the first Saturday of the month. My mom's husband and I were looking for a local bar to have some drinks and shoot some pool. Neither of us had been out in the area since we moved here and didn't know where to go. I found Lloyd's bar on Google Maps. After going to their location I found that they were not open at about 8 p.m. on a Thursday night. It's always interesting at Lloyd's! The locals are bold and colorful and come in a variety of ages from the young & restless all the way to cranky codger. It's also the oldest bar in Humble, first opening in 1942!! They have an AMI jukebox. You can play darts, pool or even shuffleboard!
