Passing through on our way out of town, looked for a good Mexican restaurant and saw this place had good reviews. We walked in and saw no employees so we grabbed menus and sat ourselves. There was only one other table there. It was about 5pm on a Saturday, thought it would be packed. The waitress must have been new or just didn't know what she was doing as she seemed completely uncomfortable and awkward. She took our drink orders and couldn't answer our questions about the margarita flavors.
It took quite a while to get our food and the waitress came by to say "it's coming, we only have one cook". Okay, but why? Why one cook on a Saturday night? That tells me you are never busy which tells me it's not that good.
My youngest needed a refill of lemonade and she proceeds to tell us it's not free refills. Well why didn't you tell us that when we ordered it?! Food comes and my oldests food was not exactly what she ordered but whatever.
Our food was okay but not the best. It's different. Not terrible but very different. I would never consider this a traditional texmex restaurant or recommend it to friends. Upon inspecting the receipt, my 5yr olds 4oz lemonade was $3, and it said "regular lemonade" on it. That was definitely not a regular. Also, my oldest daughters plate that was not exactly correct was not correct because she put the wrong thing in which cost twice as much as what we actually ordered. We called someone over about the lemonade just because we at least wanted a free refill and this person immediately said "who gave you that tiny cup?!" So the original waitress totally shorted us on that.
All of a sudden at the end about 6 waitresses and the manager all come out but they just stand around talking and staring at people (by this time another table came in). Someone waited about 10 minutes at the register just to pay. I don't understand all the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Noyola's Mexican Restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The star of the show is undeniably their authentic Mexican menudo. The broth is not only delicious but also remarkably clean and fresh. What sets them apart is the thoughtfulness in cutting the menudo beef into small, manageable pieces, making it approachable even for beginners.
The attention to detail extends to the accompanying complements – onions, cilantro, limes, and chopped Serrano peppers – elevating the entire menudo experience. What truly impressed me is that they serve menudo throughout the week, a rarity that sets Noyola's apart from other Mexican restaurants.
The ambiance at Noyola's is reminiscent of a grandmother's house, with a charming display of portraits featuring famous Mexican artists and vintage furniture that adds to the cozy atmosphere. The staff goes above and beyond in creating a welcoming environment. Upon seating, they graciously offer complimentary chips and salsa, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience.
Noyola's Mexican Restaurant is a true hidden gem in the heart of Kingwood Downtown. With its authentic cuisine, warm atmosphere, and friendly staff, it's a 100% recommendation for anyone seeking an exceptional Mexican...
Read moreYou're only as good as your worst service and review. My husband, daughter and I were regulars for many months. Last night on March 29 we were there and, unfortunately, were very unsatisfied. The restaurant is split in two sections. We were the only people sitting on the left side, a few people were seated on the right side. They were being attended by 3 waiters and the owners as well. Every 5 minutes someone was over there taking care of the every need of that side of the restaurant. Us? It was like we were in an invisible prison, no one attended us. After 20 minutes of waiting I had to wave down the owner to take our order. And after waiting for an hour for our meals with no one to check on us, replenish our drinks or anything, we left. It was so bizarre, and they know us well from how often we visit. It was like the only side they care about is the right side of the restaurant. Watching each waiter and the owners go back and forth from the kitchen to the customers seated on the other side of the restaurant without even glancing at our table was so awful and rude to see. Couldn't believe it, they lost a regular family's business, we wont be going ever again. What the...
