I’ve been coming here for over 6 years since I moved to the area. It used to be great, now every time I order from Mama’s Pizza, there is always something disappointing about the food and/or experience.
Today, I paid $5.25 (+tax) for a slice of Rainbow Cake in addition to our to-go pizza.
I was shocked when I opened the bag to see the slice was about the size of the palm of my hand. It was also barely an inch thick. Not much cake there. It’s false advertising to call it a “slice”, and should be labeled as a “sliver” on the menu. (By the way- the picture was before anything was eaten, even the presentation is bad)
The pricing for this portion is ABSURD. It used to be 3 TIMES the size of what I was sold tonight.
In the last year alone, their quality has been less than desirable and their portion sizes continue to decrease. Yet the price stays the same or increases.
Not to mention, the pizza was burnt and charred underneath. The cheese was overcooked and you don’t get that delicious and satisfying “cheese pull” anymore like you used to get here.
I will not be coming back anymore, we will find a new pizza place to frequent.
It’s just a shame because Mama’s used to be great! But now the portions are a ripoff, and the quality of food has gone down.

Read moreTried this place 3 times. The first is when they first opened and my pizza was a Frankenstein. By that I mean my large 8 slice pizza was pieced together from a 2-3 other pizzas. They basically threw 8 random slices together. Different cheese color, crust didn't match, etc. The 2nd time I ordered it to be delivered. I only live a 1/4 mile away and when It showed up I went in the house and opened the box all the cheese was slid off into the corner of the box. The teenager that had delivered it obviously slung corners in his car or whatever. I called to complain and the guy that answered the phone could barely speak English so I dealt with it. The final time I ordered I went to pick it up. After showing up and telling them what I ordered and payed for it, I was told it wasn't ready yet. 20 min later I got pissed and asked what the holdup was and apparently they ran out of mushrooms. Instead of telling me that they just never made the pizza because they wanted to see what else I wanted instead...after I was told it wasn't done yet. I'm from jersey and know what real pizza is. This isn't it and it's an eye sore...
Read moreWe ordered the Sicilian special with pepperoni, banana peppers, and extra cheese. We also ordered the bruschetta with fresh mozzarella. The bruschetta was incredibly soggy and almost inedible. All of the toppings were piled on top of the bread. I thought they would've packaged it separately so this wouldn't happen. The pizza dough was completely raw. I took a few bites before realizing this. I'm 9 months pregnant so I was quite upset about eating something raw that could make me sick and affect my baby. I immediately called the restaurant and they told me they ran out of dough for the Sicilian pizza and would be unable to remake it. They offered to make me a normal pan pizza but refused to refund me the money. The initial pizza order took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive and I had to wait close to another hour for the second pizza to arrive. If I owned a pizza place and fed someone raw dough I would refund the money AND get them another pizza. Just common sense. We will not be ordering anything else...
