I had my son 1st birthday party here last Sunday evening. We had the worst experience EVER! For the amount of money I was charged, The staff should've been on point but they were not. From the second we walked in there it was issues. First of all I chose the last party time of the day at 3pm. We were told because our party was the last party of the day we should have our party goers come earlier to enjoy the museum so we showed up earlier. The entire 2 hours we waited for our party room to be "set up" I never met the party host (Megan) until about 10 mins before the actual party started, she came up to the party room and told me that we could not use our food warmers to warm up our food, so we had to serve cold food, then she proceeds to tell me that she is only in the room for 45 mins to do activities with the children. She left out the room saying she needed to retrieve something and she never returned to the room. She never asked me about a time or told us when she would be coming back we assumed she would be right back but she never returned. The children never got to do any activities. There was no host to tell us what to do or anything. I tried speaking with a manager Amie but she really did not care and was very nasty I explained to her that I was upset because NOT A SINGLE employee came in to do activities or to even check on the party. By this time people were leaving the party. Amie told me that my host should be here and she would send her in to do the activities. There was no need at that time because the children have left, I asked about a refund because this place did not provide what I paid for. Amie looked at me and said "your not going to get your money back" at that point I was done talking with her and asked for the director information...It GETS WORSE! The Director Lindsey very rude and nasty as well, didn't care and told me I was lying and their staff provided us with a host and activities. She needed to check the cameras to see what happened. Lindsey then in turn gave me the information for the Director of sales Cisco, upon speaking with him he informed me that he had checked the cameras and there was no way the party host did not come back in the party room and we were told by the party host Megan whom I had only seen for less than 10 mins, that she would come back in the room and do the activities with the children. I informed him that we were not told no such thing. She's lying. I gave them time to go look back at there cameras and it's clear they did not look or they trying to cover there own behinds. But by lying and not wanting to help or compensate me for the inconvenience, the non hosting, and for basically calling myself, my husband and everyone who was at my party liars now I have to take this to the next level and take them to court. The dismissive attitudes and the lies form all 3 of them helped me make my decision to take them to court. This situation could've been solved so easily just by apologizing would have made a difference but we never even got that. So I will see them in court. I would not recommend anyone have a birthday party there. It's boring and the staff don't know what they are doing and you'll more than likely be hosting your own party after paying them almost $500 for your party. CAUTION!!!! BEWARE!!!!!! DON'T...

Read moreA rainy Saturday, any indoor activity especially for kids will be packed. However, after reading other reviews, this seems to be a constant thing with this place. The line to enter the building was out the door, luckily under a covered awning that extends off the building as it was a cold, very rainy day in North Carolina today.
Only 1 person immediately upon entering the door was scanning tickets and doing wrist bands. Seems kind of silly knowing how busy you normally are but that ugly weather would send families running for inside activities. Website states tickets MUST be purchased in advance online, however many families purchased tickets at the door today but I do still suggest you get them in advance to make a "quicker" entry experience.
Whether you are an adult or kid - it will cost you $15 for entry ($14 weekdays). Really never understood these children's museums charging just as much, if not more for adults who strictly supervise there kids, but I guess it is what it is.
Plenty of activities to do and see once you are finally inside but I must insist a recommendation for this place and that is capacity limited timed ticket slots. Although this will hinder business a little bit and even push families to truly plan ahead of time, the place is over crowded for what is offered. Website states thorough cleaning throughout the day along with updated capacity limits but I can ASSURE you this is not the case. This place is packed beyond belief which makes you question there emergency evacuation plans just in the event.
Overall a great place to take your kids to have some fun, burn off those consisted rainy day energy levels but they need to restructure there entry system and look into capacity limited time slot...
