Apache's Carnes Al Carbon — Restaurant in Huntington Park

Heard of this through a friend who grew up in the area. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and a Chicharron Taco. There was nothing good about any of it other than the beans in the burrito.

The meat was not Carne Asada. It was some cheap, fatty Milanesa that was obviously warmed up from the day before. It was dry, lacking the grilled color and had no flavor.

The Chicharron Taco was a total bust. The Chicharron came from pre-made bagged, as it had the same texture as store bought. All they did was put some in a tortilla with onion and cilantro. The tortilla wasn't even warmed up enough too.

And to top it off, the Salsa was so watered down you could literally see it.

Apaches is a small restaurant. More like a place you order food to go. Ordered a torta de asada. The meat was tender except for the last bite. It had some gristle. The downside, it was small. I'm not a big eater but I was still hungry after the torta. As far as parking goes, there are 3 spaces and one is a handicap. One of the non handicap spaces I wouldn't recommend because if you park there somebody parked in the handicap space would block you from exiting. Last note. The lady who took my order never smiled, it was like she was doing me a favor by taking my order. I may go back to try the burrito de asada but this place already has 2 strikes against...

Didn't like the service. Poor quantity and no quality. Ordered beef torta and beef burrito along with chorizo tacos. They give us carnitas tacos and pork burrito and torta. I went to back and asked why, she said they don't have beef only foods. I told her my wife is allergic to pork that is reason I wanted beef, and she kept repeating "carne al carbon, es todo lo que vendemos" which means charbroiled meat. Like if that was helpful, neglecting the fact that she could've easily told us from the get go that they don't sell beef. They refused to refund. If you like pork this may be the spot for you.
