El Taco Rapido — Restaurant in Huntington Park

First and foremost I would like to say this has and will always be the place to get my torta cubana. Today i paid cash for my order. I was told to wait outside for my order. No big deal i waited outside. Also while i was waiting patiently, i noticed through the window the lady charging customers and making orders with the same gloves. As i waited for my torta cubana and my agua de fresa de leche (the best!!! ). I walked in and told the other young lady ( which is thin set )... about the issue. She told me she will address this to the cashier. I thought it ended the issue at that moment.!! ......The problem started when i noticed she used the same gloves , never took them off and was handling ice and fruit, to make someone's smoothie. She charged the next customer who also paid in cash, followed by the next persons order ( fruit cocktail ) even after i told her its not sanitary to handle food and money with the same gloves she still continued to use the same gloves. I went back in and told her again, instead of her taking proper action, she moved away from the window towards the side and kept cutting fruit and yes with the same gloves!!!....... i mean they have the covid plastic spit guard which means we should all be in the same page with cross contamination and germs from dirty money social distancing etc. etc . etc. its unprofessional of her to ignore me and these safety issues, That where brought up to her. I asked if they have taken any serve safe classes or any health and safety clases she didn't know what i was talking about. At that moment i just told the gentleman who is the cook if he can handle , wrap and bag my order instead of the cashier. I wish my rating could stay at 5 stars but i just can't .....she needs to be properly trained in food handling, cross contamination and handling money. Not once did i see her wash her hands. The thin young lady told me " we use the clear gloves to handle money" and the purple to hadle food. Which i replied" it would work if she only followed protocol.......... it doesn't make sence to have gloves provided to the workes, if the workers dont use them. Please take appropriate action ASAP. sorry for the bad review she helped you guys at TACO RAPIDO...

I will never go to this place again I am an African American women every single time I have went to this place I get disrespected this lady that works at the cash register have always ignored me she always wait until someone else walks in and then would ask them what would they like even tho I have been standing there waiting patiently she would also act as if she had to count the money in the register and soon another Hispanic customer comes in all of a sudden she lay the money down and take their order she is very Prejudice And racist this place gets an 0 from me. They need to hire someone else that knows how to speak Spanish and English Fluently and that...

Most of the food in the menu is decent and they do have a big variety of food, no doubt about that, but their "menudo" and one of the tenders that has a very rude attitude has make them lose some stars.

PS: If You guys on the restaurant call "carne" to all those 3rd class pork chunk of "cueros", let me tell You something, " Don't be freaking cheap and at least try to get better quality meat somewhere else, You guys need to step up Your game there. You call caldo with pellejo menudo? No just stop. If you are going to serve like that don't serve at all, delete it from the menu...
