Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Huntington Park

Horrible customer service! At 8:35pm I called this place to order so it can be ready by the time I arrive to pick up. Daisy told me to give her a minute because she had to take another customers order (which I understand)15 minutes later I get to the parking lot and still no response from Daisy so I walk in but still don’t hang up to see how long it’ll take her to answer. We get there and there is a small line I place my order still no answer. I finally get my food in the restaurant but still no answer and at this point there is no one in line so no reason why no one can answer the phones or to even get back to me being on hold. I got back into the car and waited (being petty) at the 40 MINUTE mark i hung up but they never picked up the phone again keeping me on hold. Keep in mind the whole time I could hear their staff having conversations some singing talking to other people etc. She was not alone there were 2 other workers basically doing nothing! As of today I'm never coming back to this Ono AGAIN! Ordered by phone at 8:36pm and they said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up at about 9, payed, and my food still wasn't ready. I was waiting there 20 minutes while people walked in and out with their orders and me just sitting there. I finally got sick and tired that I just asked for a refund. I'll just take the drive to the Ono by USC.

I was in the area so I decided to try this spot again. Ordered on the phone for pickup, but as soon as I get home, I instantly regretted it. Chicken was burned, there wasn't as much food as other locations I've been to. I've visited the Gardena location off Redondo Beach Blvd, the USC location off Figueroa and the location on imperial and Crenshaw. This is by far the skimpiest amount of chicken I've ever got. I get here at ono at 8.28pm and is my turn to order so the cashier tells me all orders are to go and i ask why because we close at 9, OK YOU CLOSE AT 9. She said yes we close at 9 but we stop serving for here at 8.30 and i told her but its 8.28 no its 8.30 and if you order now your food will be ready by around 8.50 i said to her are you serious? she asked do you want to order? so i just ordered. Another customer gets here and i wait for the cusomer to order so i stand behind her and when she is done ordering, the same cashier turns around and prepares food for someone to go when shes done she tells her female coworker im going to go mop and im right in front of the cash register literally touching the counter and she just grabs the mop and walks away to clean..
