DP DOUGH...MY FAV...MY ENEMY...BAK TO MY FAV Ive been a very loyal customer with DP Dough for several yrs now because each and every order was absolutely delicious & amazing!! I order from them so much that I would have earned enough points with their rewards program after one maybe 2 orders to qualify for free cheesesticks or a free calzone which I loved, cause that would save me about $9 off my order! Once a month my hubby & I stay at a hotel that's cheap & close to the VA Hospital in Huntington (which is def on the outskirts of Huntington) so I can get my infusion treatment. This hotel used to have a pretty bad reputation before from what I've heard but for the last 6mon the owner has really cracked down on who they let rent rooms from them, installed tons of security cameras everywhere and even hired a security guard to patrol around the hotel & their parking lots! So we have continued to use this hotel every time we have to go to the VA and haven't had any bad experiences whatsoever. Anyways, so while staying at this hotel my hubby & I ordered from our fav restaurant...DP Dough...Fri & Sat & then wen I tried to order from them on Sunday using their website so I could use my points to get a free order. A few min later I get a call from the store informing me that they can't deliver my order because they don't deliver to that hotel. I was so confused cause we literally still had DP Dough boxes in our room from the previous night! I informed the worker of this and asked if I could speak to the manager. He informed me that he was the manager on duty and he couldn't control the previous nights cause he wasn't working but tonight he was and he wasn't comfortable sending any of his drivers to this hotel end of story, goodbye- I was absolutely furious over this news! Started out super happy (gonna be able to get some free items on my order that night using my points) Ending super bad (finding out I have to order from somewhere else & pay full price) AND realized my points never went back on my DP Dough account since I didn't get my order! I called and emailed DP Dough several times informing them that my points needed to be replaced but never had any returned correspondence from them. Here my once fav restaurant has now become my enemy! So, I decided to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a formal complaint with them since no one would get back with me regarding this matter. Then one night while staying at that same hotel, I get a call from TJ, the manager, who had denied my delivery order from before, apologizing to me several times for the way I was treated that one night and for the lack of communication there after. He said instead of adding your points back on your account I will make whatever you want to order from our restaurant free of charge and will personally deliver it to me at the "infamous" hotel himself to make up for everything that had happened! Not just one free item but told me to order whatever I wanted as much as I want and he would cover it all!!! Thanks to TJ, DP Dough is back to being our favorite restaurant AGAIN and we couldn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you don't want to be physically confronted and screamed at with obscenities by a lunatic delivery staff, I recommend highly that you avoid this place. We regularly ate and ordered from this location at least 2 times per week on average and had been big fans for almost six months. However, we recently placed a delivery order (our second this week) and had to endure an utter lunatic for a delivery person. He never knocked on our front door prior to calling us (which is the first time we heard from him). When I answered, he was literally screaming angrily into the phone that he was "forced" to walk back out to his car (which was only about 30 feet away) to get his cell phone (that he left there for reasons unknown to me) to call us to find out if we were home. When I asked him to stop screaming, he hung up the phone. Several minutes later, we heard pounding on our door. When I opened the door, he was standing a few feet away from me gesturing wildly and angrily and pointing at the food order he tied to the door handle, yelling, "there's your f$#^ing food!!!" As he stormed away, I asked him for his name, to which he shouted over his shoulder, "I don't have to tell you s%^&, a$$**!!: In response, I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. When he got on the phone, I told him what had happened. His only response was, "well, he's worked here for 10 years, so, I dunno" which he repeated over and over again -- showing no concern over his delivery driver's behavior and suggesting that I, as a repeat customer, was lying. He then claimed that he would call me shortly after alleging that he would contact the owner to discuss the matter. More than 2 hours went by and I received no phone call. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager again. He very cavalierly told me that it's up to the owner, that he, as a manager, has no control over the delivery driver and cannot discipline him (and seemed completely uninterested in doing so). He acted mockingly and disinterested in this conversation with me as well and, once again, just kept reciting to me how long the delivery driver had worked there (as if his tenure as an employee had any bearing on how inappropriate his behavior had been). I asked for a call directly from the owner by the close of business, since he, despite being a manager, had offered no assistance, claimed to have no authority to discipline an employee, had not even apologized for the incident, and made no offer to compensate me for such behavior by his employee. The close of business came and went with no phone call from the owner. I will never patronize DP Dough's ever again and encourage you strongly not to put yourself at risk for this kind of insane behavior from its delivery staff. If this is how little they value repeat customer business, they won't value...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called and ordered food from their online menu. While ordering I read the deal off to the guy taking my order I specifically stated the mix and Match on their site and said the prices. They are 6.99 each before tax. When I went to the store to pick them up they told me it was over 20 dollars so I told the guy the deal was two or more 6.99 each and I told him that when I ordered. He proceeded to tell me that I should have ordered it online and shrugged his shoulders. The deal doesnāt say online only and again it told him the deal when I placed the order. 6 dollars isnāt going to make or break anything however, It is a good bit more than what it was supposed to be.I think itās ridiculous that they are dishonest and donāt honor...
