i would give this place no stars if i could!!!! had dinner early evening today with my family. after about 15 minutes i felt something biting me. i went to the restroom and my upper thigh was covered in bites. i went back to the table used a flash light on my phone and what did i find............BED BUGS!! bed bugs in every chair at the table and even in chairs at other tables. the owners wife very mad said i will give you $10 off your $49.95 bill. she looked at the chairs and saw the bugs!! then we were no longer allowed near the chairs to take pictures of the bugs. she called her husband and he came in very rude stating maybe we brought them lmfaoooo i do not have bed bugs and how tf could a person smuggle in and plant live bugs all over 90% of the back area chairs plus covered in eggs and droppings lol. i told him i needed this settled because i am allergic to bed bugs and was already wheezing. he stated pay full bill and call who you want i do not care then said none of you are allowed back here. i said oh dont worry we wont be back! straight to the emergency room i went where i had to get a epi pen shot, along with several other shots to help me breath. this place is a disgusting joke and i have talked to the health dept and tomorrow i meet with the lady who investigates the resteraunts. horrible awful people that do not care about customers but only their...
Read moreI like chinese buffets. This review is strictly for the buffet.
They have an extensive menu and have a strong carry out business.
They usually offer the same items every day on the buffet. I don't notice changes if there are.
I eat here usually once a week.
They also have a lunch carry out box for around $10 that is a nice change of pace for a work lunch.
They offer standard chinese buffet items.
Mostly variations of chicken dishes with some beef and pork. None of them are outstanding but none of them are terrible.
They never have sweet and sour on the buffet. I wish they did but thats a personal preference..
They have a soup bar where you can build your own wonton soup and i like their hot and sour.
Desserts, fresh fruit ice cream, chinese donuts, American foods like breaded fish, garlic bread, stuffed mushrooms etc..
It's all there standard buffet style.
I won't recommend a buffet ... any buffet ... to anyone because everyone has their own opinion on buffets.
But i like it. Im glad we have them in huntington and i will continue to support them.
Give them a try. Support a local business.
Stop in and pick up a carry out menu. Eat in or carry out.
If you are reading this you should try it so you can form your...
Read moreGreat Wall has been a staple of Huntington for over a decade. They are the sole survivor of the great Chinese Buffet wars of the early 2000's, when King's Garden and Hong Kong duked it out for the hearts and stomachs of Huntington's hungriest citizens.
They feature a rather average buffet with all of your typical westernized Chinese dishes spread across 4 tables and a whole section for ice cream. If you come during peak times, the food is hot and fresh. Come before closing or on other off-times and you might get some old stuff or a smaller selection.
The food is good, but nothing special in the Chinese Buffet world. It's pretty consistent with that you'd find elsewhere. The crab rangoon is outstanding, as is their fried fish.
The owner seems like he's always there. That guy is one of the hardest working people in town. All of the staff are courteous and timely with service.
If you want to grab take-out, they give you a box and you can fill 'er up with as much as you would like.
You don't have many choices in Huntington, but fortunately your only one is...
