Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Huntsville

This place really produced some quality food. I had an issue with the night shift because they pre close too early and you don't get the proper portioning amount of fries as they're guesstimating the portions but sandwiches coming off the line are nice and hot. Shakes are not that thick as they are put in a tub and scooped out. Not good. This is the night shift though. If you go during AM hours. There are no issues and if there is, management quickly resolves them. Day time managers are excellent. Not so much with the night crew however. To be clear, the night crew is working very hard but to pre close takes away the quality of the food. Saving about 30 minutes to an hour in labor cost is not worth losing possibly 100's of customers because of the poor quality of food of a pre close. Was traveling and it was decided would be a good place to stop. I've heard of Freddy's, but never had the opportunity to try one.

You know when you travel, one usually go to the restrooms. YES... they were very clean and even saw an employee disinfecting the door handles.

The employees were polite and the food was pretty good.

I would recommend this location if you're in the area.

Now I can't judge other locations; however, I was told by a reliable source ( my sister) the opposite of a Freddy's near Sugarland with so many flies INSIDE that you would have thought there was a horse stable in the back kitchen. There was also one of the workers playing with her hair over the food while talking and joking with another employee as if customers couldn't see/hear.

I ❤️ Freddy's hamburgers!!! I think having hamburger meat smashed so thin and crispy you can almost see thru it is perfect, then they also have shoestring fries with Freddy's fry sauce!! Goodness, just writing about it makes me want to jump in the car and go!! The shakes and onion rings are another thing that is a can't miss. Order them, yummmm. The ice cream is a custard style and certainly worth getting. Order it and ask them to hold it until you're ready so it doesn't melt while you eat your wonderful burger, then just let them know you're ready and bam! It's made, no waiting. My only complaint is that the closest Freddy's is at least a 30-minute drive! Bummer. Oh well, if I leave now, I'll be muching down soon!! See...
