Olive Garden was okay. I went there during my lunch hour to celebrate a friend/co-worker's birthday. The waitress seemed overwhelmed especially at the end when it was time to pay. Some paid at the Ziosk tablet at the table, which confused her. The manager was nice and professional in the situation. The manager gave the birthday girl her meal for free plus the money back she used to pay for her meal. I thought this was very kind. She also gave one of my friends a free soup-also very kind of the manager. One of my friend/coworker went early to hold a table to avoid something like this would happen. We were organized, however; we still had issues. I can honestly understand, and I want to encourage the waitress not to give up. I do have a suggestion for waiters/waitresses serving big tables. The waitress/waiter should print out the initial receipt to give to the customer (s) with their food to avoid confusion, errors, etc. This way the customer may have their form of payment ready for the waitress/waiter, which can save time on both sides. A new receipt can be printed at the end of the meal for any changes, additions, or deletions. Granted, more receipt paper will be used. However, better service will be provided and customer satisfaction may increase. I appreciated the manager's professionalism, good attitude, kindness, and apologies. She represented Olive Garden well, and she let us know she will work with the waitress to prevent this from happening again. Mistakes happen, people get overwhelmed, and sometimes customers are simply rude and unappreciative no matter how good the waiter/and waitresses are. I will return back to the Huntsville, TX Olive Garden. Grace, peace,...
Read moreWRONGFULLY ACCUSED OF NOT PAYING WITHOUT CHECKING No one should be treated with suspicion or judged unfairly, especially without any reason. I've never written a review before, but I can't ignore the disrespect and embarrassment I experienced. My friend and I were warmly greeted at Olive Garden, and our server even helped me choose a dish. However, my chicken and shrimp carbonara was undercooked and greasy, but I didn’t complain—I know mistakes happen. When our server checked on us, her demeanor had changed, but I assumed she was having a rough night, especially after overhearing that she accidentally threw away another customer’s food when he asked for a to go box. I really try to see the best in people and avoid jumping to conclusions, so I just brushed off the shift in energy. Despite the meal, I paid on the tablet, which turned green to indicate payment, and even left a generous tip out of sympathy. About 15–20 minutes later, after getting a to-go box and using the restroom, I noticed the staff giving us odd looks. As we were walking out the door to leave, an employee stopped us, claiming we hadn’t paid and that our server was looking for us. We had just seen her outside the restroom, yet she never said a word. Instead of checking the system, she let the situation escalate. When I went to confirm payment, she smugly acknowledged we had paid—without an apology or eye contact. Mistakes happen, but a simple apology would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling disrespected and humiliated. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect, and no one should be made to feel unwelcome or accused...
Read moreThis is the best Olive Garden I've been to. Jordan, my server, was super attentive, quick, and cheerful. I ordered the stuffed chicken marsala with asparagus, and a Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet. The food came out within 10 minutes, and hot breadsticks are served immediately, even with only one cook on staff. Very efficient. Everything was perfect, hot, and tasty. Generous with the freshly grated parmesan cheese, too.
This restaurant is right off of I-45 and was the only more upscale establishment open after 6 pm on Sunday.
Plus they serve wine & cocktails. They also have tiramisu & other fancy Italian deserts.
Great kids' menu.
I appreciated that they were willing to substitute out one of the sides that I had a food intolerance for.
The coffee is excellent (and I'm a coffee snob) and served in a carafe, fresh brewed, piping hot, with real half & half in a decanter.
They were playing upbeat 40s big band tunes and Italian classics like "That's Amoré."
The atmosphere is subdued & cozy. Large parties are easily accommodated as well as those flying solo. Very family-friendly.
Very clean accommodations.
Even though the decor not modern & shiny, it adds to the charm.
I had a wonderful experience, and all the staff & servers were upbeat and very welcoming. Will definitely be going back & telling...
