I and my husband used to come to this location very often after we got off work, it "was" a nice place and cool location. People "were" nice. Apparently if you don't have any $ to tip do not go to this brewery. You are required to tip the bartender or face being cussed out and put on blast by the owner. Like I said I used to like this place, until I was called out by the owner, yelling at me and cursing at me how I should know bar etiquette and how I should feel terrible for not tipping. He also went on about how much of a low wage the bartenders are paid, but doesn't he employ them? Why does he not pay his employees a bonus etc? So I could go on how he mentioned that I am in the wrong and I should know better, I didn't have any more money to tip the bartender so I was cussed out and made to feel ashamed. I did cry as I left the building and will not return to this place again. A man should never call a lady out ever, and a tip is a choice! Not required. I don't work as a bartender because I would not rely on tips as my income. Not my fault you chose that profession and I paid for my drinks. Will not return. I would never verbally disrespect and...
Read moreWasn't what I expected. Went in on a Sunday and based on reviews about their food was expecting more of a restaurant-like feel. Didn't receive a menu. There were tables but the only person working was the bar keeper who didn't leave from behind the bar. Maybe I visited at the wrong time.
Seems like a chill place for people who want something quiet to do. I recently took a trip to Belgium and was hoping to find something similar to a red beer or a Flemish ale. My tastes are more aligned with red, brown, lambic, or sour ales with fruit and spice flavors. Thought I would give GBB a try since I was visiting from out of town and reviews said that they had a nice sized selection of beer.
The Earl Grey beer was nice but just didn't really suit my taste. I wish there was a sampler option to show off their variety. I tried 3 different beers but felt like a burden asking the barkeeper for recommendations only to not like them. If I had a sample of maybe 5 preselected very different beers, I could try them, compare them and not feel like I wasted the time of the only person working. Overall go here if you are a...
Read moreI love this place. Huntsville is so lucky to have Green Bus. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful when trying to choose a beer (or Kombucha, Seltzer, Cider, or Mead if thatâs your liking). The environment is really laid back and they have put in a ton of hard work and effort to maximize every space available to entertain their guests - including working with the city to have outside space for live entertainment for guests to enjoy while practicing COVID-19 safety guidelines. And of course, none of this would matter if it wasn't for their beer. Green Bus has always been good, but they have really been killing it lately. They are full steam ahead in creating new small batch beers that are outstanding. If you've never been, you really are missing out. Bring a friend and hang out with a cold one under the trees in Adirondack chairs. Or if you can't bring a friend, the staff are always happy to...
