Handel's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Huntsville

Ice Cream and Sherbet are divine! The location is perfect! With a walk up window to order, there is some seating in front or in back of Handles. But you might opt to get your cone to go and walk around the park just across the bridge! After reading some of the reviews, I decided to try the 4 Flavor Sampler! Great option, I should have asked for a cone on the side for some crunch. The young lady behind the counter was patient as I tried a few flavors to see what I wanted. I settled on Praline Crunch which was creamy with little pralines and nuts with a ripple of caramel. My second choice was Lemon 🍋—also creamy with a hint of cookie or shortbread. My third option was the June Flavor of the Month, Orange 🍊 Pineapple 🍍 — very creamy with delicious orange flavor and a tropical edge of pineapple. My final selection was a Raspberry Sherbet. This was the best by far, the deep ruby color and the intense raspberry flavor was something I hope to go back and try again! Definitely a place you should consider stopping if you fancy some...

I hope management will read this review. The ice cream is excellent! We got peanut butter chocolate brownie & pink champagne!

However, we went for the first time around 9:45 pm tonight and stood outside the windows waiting to be served. There were 5+ workers and some were truly busy with sidework while others saw us and flat out ignored us for several minutes. 2 of the workers were all hugged and rubbing each other with their backs to the window. ice cream and a show? Yum! Not. I called to let them know we were standing outside and the female who was rubbing all over another male worker yelled “I AM NOT ANSWERING THAT!” Someone else answered the phone and we were shortly waited on by one of the other workers performing sidework.

Handel’s needs about 2 less employees to save payroll and bad customer experiences! Would be willing to try again based on...

So excited to have a Handel's that isn't so far away from me. Honestly been wanting to try ANY Handel's for years but never wanted to make the drive all the way out to the Madison-ish location.

This new location has young but friendly staff who are working hard to fulfill all the demand. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size of ice cream. They have a couple other confectioneries too (brownie sundaes, frozen bananas, etc).

Since we'd just enjoyed a huge dinner, husband and I split a small cup of chocolate peanut butter ripple. It was super rich, very creamy, and exactly what I wanted. Nice balance of peanut butter swirls.

Honestly don't have any complaints or notes other than I look forward to coming back and trying many more...
