Inefficiency at its Finest The food is good. I will return because, despite my recent visit, I do like their food. Oh how I want to like this place. Owner, look for an email about my situation. My rub for this place is their process of ordering (and apparently reordering). A person is trained to write an order down in a sheet of paper, then I wait in a line and watch as teenagers build a sloppy order representation without communication. Drifting along this silent line; my initial verbal order written on paper somehow disappears into oblivion. Several people round the corner. My teenage daughter wonders around with her salad and grabs a drink(thinking it’s self serve). I turn the corner and am asked what I ordered! What? How do you not know what I ordered? I’m supposed to recall what my daughter, my wife and myself have ordered? Where are the detailed order inscribed papers? How do you know my pizza salad isn’t called out as a water and No Name cake? Maybe I’m missing something and don’t understand something here. Overall though I am not impressed with the lackluster customer service.
Update I still do not understand this lousy line ordering process. It seems as though no proper communication or social skills training exists. I’m saddened by our social system. Everyone seemingly wanting to be connected yet lack fundamental introduction statements. Excuse my tangent. The food was good and we will most likely return because of the food. I will try learning more patience in this dysfunctional line. Thanks to the GM for being an...
Read moreWow, how the service has changed. On going in, the restaurant was dirty, and the employees were laying down at the tables. One got up to help us but there were no crusts available at the prep line. We had to wait for them to bring two crusts from the back to prepare our pizzas. We went to find a place to sit and all the tables were dirty and the trash cans were filled. We and another couple had to clean out tables before sitting down. The windows all had handprints and hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The tea, which I usually get was so gross looking I opted for a soft drink (see photos). The drink machine was also dirty. The pizza was good, but the environment was very poor. It appeared there was no management around. This is such a change from the last time when I gave it 5 stars. The people next to us also commented about the employee laying on a bench trying to sleep next to where they were sitting. I guess employees are not trained about customer perception, let alone satisfaction. If it's this dirty where customers are, imagine the back area. I love the pizza here, but I don't want to eat in such an environment, so it'll be a while before I give it another try. ...
Read moreI rarely go out of my way to leave a negative comment but I feel that there should be brought to this experience. Today was my first time ordering from Mod pizza, I've always heard about the wonderful variety of toppings available, including dairy free cheese which is rare and I am lactose intolerant. I place my order through doordash, the order arrived early and the driver was polite. Upon opening my box I realized half of the almost none existant amount of cheese was stuck to the lid. This could be an error box design, poor handling, or any number of reasons, and while if it had an appropriate amount of cheese on it there wouldn't have been a big deal. I understand that you're allowed to choose several options of cheese and that it's most likely a small amount of each is added but in the case of an food allergy or intolerance the least you could do is have enough cheese to at least hold the topping on the pizza. Since there was essentially none, so I pretty much ate the pizza toppings with a spoon. Quality was fine, taste was good, but this felt like a poor judgment error. Just because I could only pick one option, didn't mean you shouldn't at least put an appropriate...
