Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Huntsville

This is for the one off of university dr. Huntsville. I have always love the food here, until about 5 or 6 months ago, in which I have had had experiences. It's as if the care put into food has changed. 1/4 sandwich instead of half with the pick 2, not a full serving of soup. For 13.00 u should always get a true half sandwich and your full cup of soup. A sandwich that had bacon and avocado should have more than 1 tiny price of avocado. If it comes with a spread not just an inch size area where someone slaps it on to taste in one small bite. It's been on going and it's as if someone is cutting into the proper preparation and recipes to cut cost therefore "not so good" food anymore, which was what makes this place great. Been coming here since I was 16, I'm 52. New management? Don't know but when I have called about it or spoke to employees all I heard was excuses. And one time from whom I believe was a manager, wasn't friendly just seemed annoyed. Today I ordered pick 2 with loaded potato soup and avocado turkey sandwich with sweet tea. They were out of soup so I got broccoli cheese with has changed according to her. She said that it's premade. And none else has complained about it. It was like yellow water with broccoli. Not good it's like someone added water the sandwich had a time tiny spot of spread very dry. Last time here. The Madison Alabama location is great just not as convenient but they are my spot now. I will no longer come here. Sorry but 5th time...

The absolute worse customer experience in my life. Mistakes are made. As Alexander Pope once said, "to err is human. " We all make mistakes including me. But back on August 18, 2020, while visiting Huntsville, AL, I saw one of my favorite restaurants...Scholtzsky. My friend wanted Checkers but I wanted Scholtzsky. It was pricey, about $20 for a sandwich and two sides, but I paid. Drove an hour and a half back to my hotel in Florence, AL. Wasn't even what I'd ordered. I submitted feedback to Scholtzsky's corporate office in Atlanta. Finally, after many days I received contact from corporate and then much later from the franchise owner in Huntsville. Back and forth and then a promise of a gift card to resolve my complaint.

That was in August 2020. Now it's November 2020, four (4) months later, and no gift card or resolution.

Extremely poor customer relations.

With the higher prices in restaurants during Covid we must pick and choose the best values for our money.

Scholtzsky's is not on my "go to list" any longer, especially the location on University Blvd in...

Consistently good over a number of years, this Schlotzsky's gets their sandwiches' bread just the right amount of warm and toasty, and the fillings always taste fresh. The staff here are very nice; this location is kept very clean. As we left after our most recent visit, the song "Drift Away" (Uncle Kracker) began playing. We'll overlook that this time Schlotzsky's, but doooon't let it happen again...

postscript~ I'm not sure what happened between my review above and last night's visit to Schlotzsky's. Our sandwiches looked very sloppy, the bread was dry and cold, and the French onion soup we ordered on a whim was served lukewarm and tasted like it came out of a can.
