I've been here a few times now and I have to give it 1-star based on yesterday's encounter. I got a waitress i've never seen before and I always order the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with buffalo sauce (this used to be called the Mean Gene). The waitress brought it out and it was grilled.... Well, I forgot to clarify I wanted it fried like the Mean Gene, and she never asked if I wanted it fried, so yeah, it was wrong. I sent it back, and it came out a second time fried, only now as I bit into it, I got a very rubbery/watery bite, almost vomited, and spit it out. At this point my family had eaten all their food and I was getting loaded up on fries losing my appetite -- especially after eating soggy chicken. I figured there's no turning back now, so I sent it back AGAIN! They brought it out correct this time but it freaking took THREE TRIES! I was so annoyed just with the whole experience, the only thing helping was my beer. The waitress said sorry so many times and I believed her. She said she was going to try to do something for my ticket and I believed her. She brought out the ticket and absolutely NOTHING was comp'd. I mean, are you fried frickin' kidding me?!? I asked "So they didn't want to comp anything?" The girl said no but she could ask. I mean, what the hell, she didn't ask them already??? Okay, so she comes back and says they can only do 15% off the chicken. This came out to $1.35 off.... I was just confused, so I asked they can't do any better? She said no because they are a small restaurant, the manager is kind of new and doesn't want to mess it up. Wow, okay, so still this is not my fault... This whole chain of tragic events wasn't really my fault, but now I get to save about a buck off my chicken... BUT OH HEY I MIGHT GET SALMONELLA so thanks for the dollar to use on my medical bills I'll probably have!!!

Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer since the business opened, not only myself but taking my entire family there sometimes after church, but my adult children were regular customers. This day I didn’t feel like dining in and made a to go order over the phone, picked up my order which costed over $30, once I made it to my destination and got ready to eat, I noticed that one plate had double fries instead of fries and cole slaw and that my fish and shrimp platter, had no fish at all and only 3 shrimps in which it was supposed to be 4 fish and 4 shrimp. I called back and I was told to bring my receipt back, I went directly to the waitress who had brought my order out, she was standing with another woman who said she was the manager. I was told that there was nothing they could do about my missing fish because I had probably already ate it and the waitress argued that she didn’t get my telephone order wrong and that I did order fries instead of coleslaw. I felt really upset because not only did they not acknowledge their wrong, they to my face accused me of eating fish that I didn’t get and coming back for 4 free pieces of fish, which would have costed me more in gas bc I live out of Huntsville’s city limit. This was humiliating and frustrating and very unprofessional that a manger would have accused me of eating 4 prices of fish and driving a 20 minute drive back to them to lie about my order. I’ve read reviews for them similar to this it I never thought I would experience it first hand. But tonight, my friend and I were sitting for 15 minutes before anyone asked if we had been helped, then it was another 10 before our waitress came over. We ordered a soda, a water, and a tequila sunrise. The bar drink was brought to us by another server (she was so helpful, I didn't get her name) who also kept checking up on us. Our server that we had did not get our drinks for almost 20 more minutes, in which we had to remind her we had drinks. After that, we ordered an appetizer and our entrees, which took almost 30 minutes to come out, which is understandable if it was only our entree, but multiple tables that came in after us got their appetizers before us. We had to get another server to tell her that we were upset and only then did she apologize. By then, I ordered another drink (an ocean water). When I finally got it and our food, I ended up not liking the drink and asked her to please bring me a tequila sunrise instead. I was totally okay with paying for the ocean water, since I did have a little bit of it. Well, the manager Eric came over and told us we had to pay for it in a very patronizing way, then offered it to my underage friend. When we told him, he still left it on the table. This really upset me, being talked to like a child and then him leaving a drink that we did not want on the table there. Overall, this experience was horrible.
