I'm liking the new refurbished layout of this McDonald's. It's very similar to the old dining/play area, but it's gotten a modern-like look to it now.
Plus, they have electrical outlets EVERYWHERE in there which is a huge bonus to me. 👍
My only complaint would be the self ordering kiosks and how they impact this (and really, other) locations.
First, those kiosks are SLOW to order from (even for a tech-savvy person like myself). It's far easier/faster for me to order from the cashier or order from the McDonald's app then check-in (hey, another reason to get the app).
Also, I'm not much of a germophobe, but when I use these kiosks I immediately go and wash my hands. I've seen these in other locations that I've hung out in (for hours) and not once have I seen an employee wipe these down (or the tents with your order number for that matter).
Finally, these things just kind of mess up the flow of the transaction (which it looks like people are complaining about the most here).
In the past, you would order, get your order number (on the receipt), then wait by the counter to be called so you could get your food. And since you were standing there waiting, it seems that the employees were quick to get you on your way.
Now you're given a tent with a number different from the one on the receipt and you go to your table to wait for your food delivery. Because you're not standing around, there seems to be no pressure on the staff to get the food out quickly so it feels like it's a much more casual wait then before (could be my imagination though).
These things are new so I'm sure they're still working out the kinks, but I will say that I'm happy that they give you your cup after you order (some self-kiosk McDonald's deliver your drink with your food which I...
Read moreMy husband ordered through DoorDash. The order was the 40 piece nuggets with 2 large fries, with dipping sauce. All I received was the 40 piece nuggets. I drove to this McDonald’s location and showed them that the receipt order was incomplete. The manager, Hector, gave me the fries and sauce order. Then instead of apologizing, he stated that they were short staffed.
The customer service was terrible. Especially from a manager of an establishment. I didn’t even order from the establishment or the drive thru line. I ordered from DoorDash. The order is expected to be completed before delivery. As a customer who had initially requested a delivery order and had to go out of my way to not only receive the rest of my order and not receive an apologize, but an excuse. That’s disgusting. And not only did everything go wrong. Hector, the manager and a lady employee were not even wearing gloves. Read moreClassic hit or miss McDonald's food, which because of the "hit or miss" part, I keep asking myself why I return and the answer is simple. Big Mac. Everything else seems to be 50/50 whether it's hot, fresh or well prepared. Almost a 10℅ chance of receiving all three atthe same time.
Good example of this is receiving a warm and almost overprepared Big Mac (way too much sauce), with stale fries and cold McNuggets in the same order. Little attention to detail but, again, it's McDonald's.
