no vegan/vegetarian options Misleading information is being told at this place. So, I actually loved this place and had been eating there for years when I found out there are no vegetarian options. When I initially asked about the curries and the Tom yum soup, I was told it was vegetarian broth and no meat was used. So I sent a fellow vegan and he was told nothing in the menu is vegetarian Bc they use chicken broth in everything, including the curries and stir fry’s plus they use fish paste in the curries anyway. I am only mad bc I was told by several employees it was vegetarian. I asked if it just changed and they said no, it’s always been like that. So I ask why I was told it was vegan, and they said they didn’t know chicken broth wasn’t vegetarian and or fish paste. So now I don’t trust anything from this place, and rightly so Bc I’m vegan.I don’t think it was on purpose of course, and they are mostly nice people there. But imagine all the animal biproducts i have unknowingly consumed. It’s just so gross and I wanted to review it so other vegan can know what their getting into. I honestly don’t know what’s going on there Bc my stomach normally gets upset if I eat something with any biproducts in it. I will say the stir fry’s and Currie never hurt my stomach but the soup definitely did the last time I consumed it. So it’s just a toss up about who really know what they cook with, but I’m...
Read moreFood is good, but attention to the details of placing an order needs to be improved. We’ve ordered take out from here several times. The food is great. My complaint is for attention to an order. This is not the first time that a take out order from here has been incorrect, but my family’s circumstances today made it extra frustrating when we found out half of our order was wrong. We only ordered two items from the menu, so not a complicated order... We arrived home to see we received an item we did not order and the one ordered wasn’t there. When we called to inquire, the person that took the order failed to acknowledge that the order was NOT read back. There was definitely a misunderstanding. The offer to replace the incorrect item was made, but at that point it was too late. With a crying baby in the back seat while waiting on the order, driving back to the other side of town during rush hour is not an option. More attention needs to be given when orders are placed. Just because the word pineapple is mentioned does not mean I want pineapple curry. The order placed was for “pineapple fried rice.” Yes, we realize it has a different name here, but it’s still not a curry. If orders continue to be incorrect, then our business will need to...
Read moreFor anyone that knows me, thai food is my thing. I've been here a few times, and it was not the same. Let me be specific just in case the owner reads this. Tom kha gai (coconut chicken soup), I realize there's a difference between north and south thai style, but dear god please don't dump a cup of sugar in the soup. It was just ruined. I couldn't taste any lemon grass, any galanga, fish sauce or even cilantro. Just sugar. I don't like tomatoes in my soup. Next, Nua nam tok (beef salad), not Yum nua, it's a different dish. Two things really irtitate me when a thai restaurant tries to fake Nam tok. First, and most important is that you have to make the ground rice coating, otherwise it's just lazy. Secondly, when you ask if I would like mild, medium, or spicy, that doesn't mean you simply shake more or less piss weak red chili powder flakes on it. Use more or less thai chilis, that's why it's called thai food. Frankly, the meats that are used, both chicken and beef were fine. But go the extra effort. Otherwise, you end up with culinary disaster I was...
