Pizaacos — Restaurant in Hutchinson

One of my favorite places in town to grab some pizza. It can feel overpriced at times, but honestly I think it is worth it. PLUS! They have a rewards program so that's really nice and something I wish more local places did.

The pizza is REALLY good! I will say you probably won't like it though if you like thick crust pizza as the crusts on their pizzas are VERY thin! Great if you are wanting some pizza but don't want the carbs btw.

Anyways. It's good pizza and even though you get less for a higher price tag than say Pizza Hut, Pizacos pizza doesn't leave me feeling like I have a lead ball in my stomach after eat it and it has never given me heartburn either.

Staff is also really nice. The last time I was in I brought my step mom along with me because it's, again, one of my favorite places for pizza. She also has a gastric bypass so she can't eat a lot of bread. That thin crust was perfect!

Her order did get confused though and they brought her a pizzaco instead of a pizza. They were fine to switch it out though and give her the pizza and refund her the difference.

The only sad thing is that they used to keep little board games on the tables so people could play games while they waited, but that went away after covid. Looking forward to that starting up again eventually.

Oh! And they also have pool tables so you can always play some pool while you wait for your food.

For now I will give them a 4 star, hopefully the next time it will be a 5 star rating. It was only their 3rd day open, so I am taking that into consideration. When we arrived (party of 4 adults and an 8 mo. old baby) we were told that it would be 15 to 20 min. before we could be seated because they were changing their coals and having a shift change. We decided to stay and wait. While waiting for our table more guests started arriving and quickly grew a line out the door. Then after waiting for 23min. the hostesses started seating customers in the line. I then asked why we hadn't been seated, she apologized and seated us next. Then it took another hour to get our pizza out to us. While waiting on the pizza an employee came and took the highchair we had for our grandson, just because we were holding him at the moment. We then had to ask our server to bring it back. When the pizza came out, it was burnt looking, but all the pizzas were looking like that. We ate it anyways and it wasn't too bad. It would have been better if it wasn't over done. Then it took another half an hour to get our ticket to pay. So in all it took us 2 hours to get a pizza! Maybe I will just order it to...

The food is what you might expect, It is pizza that is in the shape, style, and look of a taco. The ingredients are fresh and you can grab a to-go make-your-own option if you are in a hurry. The prices are fair and reasonable.

Located on Main Street in Hutchinson, Kansas in a small kitchen and dining area that mirrors the atmosphere of a coffee shop. The tables and chairs are all located either on the floor or up a step on a platform. For this reason, I would recommend those who are in a wheelchair or disabled call ahead of time on busy periods to determine if any seating on the floor level is available.

Highly recommend going on the third Thursday of the month as this is considered Hutchinson, Kansas "Third Thursday" event. The parking may warrant a small walk. However, Third Thursday brings lots of fun activities, and other Main Street companies out sharing what they offer. This is a great stop before beginning the fun and endearing...
