As of this date, the Sage River Market coffee shop has been open for less than two weeks and it's off to a great start!
I immediately felt at ease when entering the place due to the comfortable and inviting decor, softly-playing jazz, the aroma of coffee, and BOOKS. (the books here are take one/leave one - nice!)
I sampled one of the daily coffees, which was a Columbian variety. It was strong and hot, and I'm good with that. I haven't tried the confections here (yet!).
The staff seem mostly new and younger and were working diligently to take care of all customers. **
Encountering the proprietor, I learned that the small stage area is indeed intended to be used for performances (musical and possibly others?) in the future.
This place is absolutely worth your time to "spend some time", and although it's new, it already feels like it belongs here.
**- Employment opportunity! The proprietor mentioned a staffing shortage (opening day blues, right?). This could be a great opportunity for anyone looking to get a start at a great coffee house.

Read moreI tried this coffee shop with my sister yesterday before and during third Thursday. It was great and the drink I got was good. We hanged out there for about 4 hours or so. The only thing I recommend is that they add blended iced coffees to their menu and also outlets all throughout the lobby so that people have a place to plug their laptops and other things into while they are there. I had my oxygen machine with me and discovered the lack of outlets in the lobby and had to move to a much less comfortable spot in order to plug my oxygen machine in. Other than these minor things, this is a very good and cozy coffee...
Read moreGreat friendly, local coffee shop right in the downtown area. Has a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Really unique art throughout the shop. Lot's of different places to sit with a selection of a free library to read from while you are here enjoyinga drink. The staff and owner is super nice and friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone living or passing through...
