This reggio's pizza just opened in the area and I was extremely excited to taste the pizza.I went into the reggio's about 12:30 noon the restaurant opens at 11am so for starters it's very clean inside a great atmosphere the lady at the front had excellent customer service . I Ordered the pizza slices which was a deal two for the price of $5.00 I got 2 slices of each cheese/turkey and a Pepsi by the fountain is $2.00 and a fries $3.60 spent about $16.00. This was a order to go but the presentation of the food was good! But neither of my 4 slices where hot nor did it taste fresh which is disappointing seeing as how the restaurant opened at 11am the fries was nice and hot and my Pepsi was crisp! I also appreciated the fact that I was given utensils and extra napkins and condiments without asking ! All in all I would like to give this restaurant a second chance because it's black owned and it definitely has potential maybe id avoid the slices and see about a whole pizza because it would possibly come out the oven hot and fresh I will say there where other items on the menu as well that I'd be back to try so all in all it's a good area and restaurant for...
Read moreCame in, was greeted by a young man and lady. Young man was leaning over the counter which made me feel uneasy about ordering. I've worked customer service for 20 years and that's just not a good look. No knock to him, good guy, but you have show that inviting hospitality.
Place was clean, well lit and looked inviting. Other than that its all downhill. I ordered a simple slice of pizza to go. Charged $6, and received the most pathetic, flimsy, burnt piece of pizza I ever had. I didnt even notice this until I got into my car and opened the box when I notice it felt kind of light for a six dollar slice. I was better off buying the store bought version and cooking it myself. It had no flavor, paper thin and my "slice" was basically 2 small pieces. I was so upset I just drove off and threw the pizza out the windows for the birds to eat. I don't know who is in charge of the quality and presentation of the items served here but it is HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE.
I will not be back and will not recommend to ANYONE. If you can't get a simply slice of pizza correct I can only image what the rest of the food looks, taste...
Read moreFirst time and not the last time! The food here is outstanding. I'm a food photographer and get the luxurious opportunity to try many restaurants in Chicago. This was my first time trying Reggio's and it will not be my last. I loved their hawaiian thin crust pizza and their bbq ribs.
I took some of the food home because I was not able to finish it all, even though, I really wanted to and had some of my family members try it and they also fell in love with the taste.
Aside from the food, Reggio's as a company is bringing a new touch to the community with the interior design being that of a more stylistic and relaxed enviroment where you can eat and chat with your friends.
I loved the food and the enviroment and I would...
