Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Imperial Beach

I’ve been in this store three times since I moved here 3 months ago. I've gotten horrible customer service each time. The workers are always goofing around and disrespectful. I stated that I wanted two double scoop ice cream bowls before I ordered the ice cream and repeated myself when it wasn't being packaged right, then the kid scooping my ice cream rolled his eyes at me, while the other laughed because she thought he was funny. I got two kids scoops and the one large scoop of a flavor and a tiny bit of another flavor. It makes me kind of mad that they wouldn't fix it, either. I spent money for this and they had horrible service and couldn't give me my money's worth? Plus, There was ice cream dripped all over the counters, but once I started to pay it was back to goofing off because cleaning here is not a necessity, apparently. If this weren't the closest location to my house, I wouldn't keep...

Old location reopened for business (under better management it seems). Great selection of ice creams/yogurts/sherbert with ever changing new flavors to try. Clean, well kept, kosher options easily available without additional charge. Military discount honored here as well as 31st scoop specials. The staff is very helpful and friendly 😊 usually not much of a wait...only downsides would be that both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are very limited and even though parking is free, it too is limited and might be an issue on busy days at this outlet center. Owner is trash. Doesn't pay his employees on time on a regular basis, and uses cash and personal checks?!?

Also has hired two shift leaders (which one has quit) that had no prior experience as they slowed things down, the one that still works there (older man) doesn't do anything. It seems like the owner hires them because he knows them in some way, as he defended both for doing nothing to help.

Lastly doesn't care about his employees overall, just a bad work environment. So blame the bad service or if you have noticed it has gotten worse...
