Five Guys — Restaurant in Imperial Beach

Don't believe the hype!! The burgers are not bad they are fresh and pretty juicy but the down fall to this place is it is super super expensive one hamburger is 9.37 I got my son a hotdogs and that was 6 dollars fries are like 3.70 and a drink was 3.70 my wife got a burger and that was like 9 something also. For a entire meal sharing fries and a drink we paid close to 40 dollars. Shes never had 5 guys before so we decided to try it food is ok but for way less we could have went to town at in and out burger. Save your money and cook a burger on the grill at your house because its similar quality. The kicker is there was a sign on the wall that said good quality and in expensive. This is probably one of the most generic, unimpressive burger joints I've come across. I have one very strong suggestion for this establishment: stay out of the veggie market. The single veggie sandwich on the menu has no flavor and lacks imagination. Had I not requested mayonnaise and mustard, it would have been like eating cardboard. Apparently, the burger doesn't come with any kind of topping or sauce. Fun! The fries were meh, the same kind you can buy at Costco. They dump the fries on top of the sandwiches because, apparently, its supposed to be edgy and cool!! This place might be great for fatty, greasy beef burgers and fries, but vegetarians and anyone who takes their health seriously...

My wife and I dined in, sat out doors because it was a beautiful day. The employees were awesome, the food was good and the fountain is one of those touch screens with all of the different drink options so this is definitely the place to be. The burgers are big, the fries are outrageous, you'll want a small order if its just you, regular if its 2 people, by no means should you get the large order. Guys, this is the perfect place to take your lady, if you have one. There will always be a ton of fries because the just dump a lot in the bag, that way your lady that didn't want fries can have some too. 10/10 will go to another 5 guys and will recommend to...
