Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Imperial Beach

I’m a regular at this location I live right across the street. I always order a quesadilla with steak and queso on it. The guys who was originally making my order was going through it no problem. When the cashier saw what I ordered she immediately wanted to charge me as a burrito because I added queso to a quesadilla. Apparently adding cheese to a quesadilla is not allowed. Then she said I can’t have the queso on the quesadilla before I cook it because it would mess up the the grill. (This has never been a issue in the year + I’ve been coming here) after that she asked if I wanted a quesadilla still and I said yes I did . She grabbed the one that was made with the queso in it and threw it away. Then they made me a new one with out queso she’s said I could add it on the side or Insided after I said fine . Orders made and that should have been the end of that, until I’m going to assume what was the manager came out to “write up” the order that was thrown away. She started talking to us in a condescending tone saying what a waste of food that was and to next time “know what we want before ordering” even tho I ordered exactly what I wanted and they threw it out because they didn’t want to make it that certain way. I got a bacterial staph infection in my throat from their berry agua fresca drink on Wednesday evening 2/21/24. I felt sick from the very first sip of this drink, it automatically infected me. It’s been 5 days and it still hasn’t gone away. The drink was low on the machine so I should’ve known not to get it, but I did it anyway because I had a delicious much more fresh one at the Coronado location before. One of the workers was on his phone in the kitchen (which is visible to the entire restaurant) with no gloves on. Went there a few days ago 12/17/24 and noticed a big difference in the taste of their food. The amount of salt they're using to 'spice' their chicken and other sides has become very unhealthy. I ordered a chicken salad bowl and was greeted with the most saltiness I've ever experienced. You don't notice how unhealthy it is until hours later when your body doesn't feel right and your tongue has this dry chemical flavor stuck to it. I've been going to this location for years and they used to make their food very good but now that the staff has changed, the quality of their food went downhill.
