Let me start by saying I know we all have off days and are not on our "A game" all the time, but, this is for the manager not the staff! I have been in the hospitality business most of my life! So I'm pretty educated on the full aspects of front and back of the house when it comes to restaurants. Upon walking in the manager was dividing up tips After about 2 or 3 minutes maybe longer is when she looks up and talks to the server next to her and says are you helping her? Server replies" I just closed out" while counting more money she replies "I'll be right with you". Okay Ai say After a few more minutes she say "what do you want" hum... ok that's a welcoming greeting! So I place my order I go sit on the bench and wait . I got a watwr while waiting and went back up to her to get more I seen a big bag of food and asked if that was mine She walks straight to the window and starts pulling food. I watched her put fries back on a plate and touch several other things with her bare hands! Mind you she was just handling money and I also paid cash. She NEVER WASHED HER HANDS! she then walks over to me and hands me a small bag of food I said "that can't be mine" She right in front of me starts looking at things and asks what I orderd... I tell her the order First off if your expoing then you are the last person to see and touch the food before the customer! How is my order so messed up of your the manager and exposed it your self! To go further she then starts asking fir my order and I hear a cook say we haven't sold that ticket yet! She replies she's in a rush! No.. no I wasn't I never said anything of the sort You ms ma'am starting pulling food then sold my ticket and still didn't give me my correct order. If the venue says items cone with something shouldn't you make sure that everything is correct! Any way all that just to say SHE DOESNT WASH HER HANDS I BET IF SHE SMOKES SHE DONT I BET WHEN SHE TALES TRASH OUT SHE DONT she definitely can use a Lil more coaching On customer service How to treat and talk to the employees and and hygiene Where we live it's a food desert so I assume that's the only reason that particular dennys is still open because within 30 minutes that's pretty much the only place you can get food from after 11pm here Wash your hands and read your ticket fully I've had a few door dash orders messed up in the past also. Thanks for reading. I don't believe she should be fired I do believe she would get a refresher and more coaching Just b3cause your the manager it doesnt exemot you from standars and still...
Read moreI have never given a bad review for any place I have been. I have been a server, and I know how working with the public goes, but this place was the worst dining out experience I have ever had! We went in at around 11. It was not busy. It took 20-30 minutes before someone even came to the front and greeed us and to give us menus and seat us. Right before we got seated, one family left without paying for their meal, because they couldn't even get their check to go to the front and pay it. Once we sat down, the table next to us started to complain they had been waiting for 45 minutes to get their waters, and their bacon wasn't cooked fully. Apparently our waiter was the only employee in there who was trying to do his job well. The other person waiting tables was a younger girl, who clearly did not care about her job one bit. She literally told the table beside us that she didn't care and was cursing and mumbling under her breath. All of the tables had dirt and papers and food under them, the sweetener packet container on our table was covered in crusty brown stuff, and lots of other things were visibly filthy. By this point, we would have left, but we were starving and it was late and we're from out of town. There was a man who was alone who had managed to get seated, but he didn't get waited on and was completely ignored, even though his waitress had looked over at him a few times. He had to flag our waiter down to get waited on at all. The food was also pretty awful. The sausage was weird and not hot, my husband's steak was barely cooked at all, and my daughter's stuffed French toast was burnt on one side of each bread, and they covered it in the filling mixture, instead of making new. $16 for her plate, and she wouldn't eat it, because it was so burnt tasting. The hashbrowns my husband had tasted funny, and the eggs were dry and cold. Apparently there was a "manager" there the whole time, and when the people who left before us asked to talk to her, she told then what they wanted to hear and comp'd their meal, but she clearly wasn't all that concerned, or otherwise this place wouldn't have been operating like it was. No sign of her while so many people were complaining and walking out. About 12 people left without paying or without eating. Worst experience. I would give 0 stars if I could, because this didn't even...
Read moreThis place is located in a PRIME location to thrive!! It is unfortunate that they cannot do that because of the staff they have. We (3 adults, 2 teens) entered the restaurant and they had about 5 tables with about 3 people per table. Looked like 2 servers and a very harried hostess (older woman, not in any uniform, VERY RUDE). We stood at the podium and waited about 8-10 minutes to be approached. When approached we were told it was a 15-20 minute wait. Okay, so we put our name on the "list" and wait. We thought we'd go ahead and make the visit shorter and grabbed a couple of paper menus that were sitting in a filthy third pan on the hostess stand that way we could look at the menu while we waited. The hostess came back and asked us if we were just going to order to go now. When we said no, and apologized for the confusion, she hostily informed us that we had contaminated her pile of menus and proceeded to throw the entire container of menus in the trash. We should have left then. We were then seated, and the server was prompt and sweet to start. We gave her our drink orders and then waited, made our selections and talked. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks, and about 45 to get our food. The food had a few errors and we were missing a couple things. To get these corrected took another 10/15 minutes. She had to be asked 3 times to please refill our drinks before that was achieved. One of them never got refilled and I sat and ate my entire meal without a beverage. If we hadn't caught her attention, she never would have even checked on our table for us to ask for the drinks at all. The food was pretty subpar. We had high hopes for the new stuffed French toast but it was burnt and hard. The bacon looked like it was the microwave type and barely cooked. The biscuit for the chicken biscuit and gravy was paler than me, and was just a lump of gluten with a couple of hunks of chicken and the nastiest gravy I've ever tasted. (Refer to previous statement about drinks, I was dying to wash that meal out of my mouth). Overall, there was just no sense of urgency, or desire to serve anyone. There was only an atmosphere of "I really don't want to be here, and I don't want you to be here". I would suggest not going here. Especially if you're tired, or hungry, or looking for a decent spot to just relax after a long day and...
